Yea, like 2Tightwads said, you can get any of them without having to cut/weld. The installation could not have been easier on both the headers and the Mach X. Everything lined up like a charm.

Didn't you still have to tune the car? I thought that adding LTs would throw codes catted or not because the cats are moved to a different location.

BTW: it would be great to get close up video of the car doing things like idle, couple wicks of the throttle, take off, a closer up drive by, etc.

Its not a given that it will throw codes but highly possible. Several on here have experienced it. I haven't seen any personally as I have always been lucky everyone has wanted a tune install so far (Probably due to my prices!). Its bound to eventually happen honestly. Doesn't really matter though as its not going to hurt your vehicle even if it does pop a code. Just annoying! I would recommend a re-tune personally.

UPDATE: Idle/Rev video added!

I'm actually throwing a code from the headers right now - it showed up a few days ago. luckily I have a copy of HPTuners and am going to tune it out today.

This is one of my personal favorite exhaust setups. It sounds awesome! Do you think it would still sound good with the auto?

Solo makes the Mach-XL for the Auto to account for the Active Fuel Management noises, and if you click on the soundclips link in GOINGSOLO2's sig, (the post right above yours) there actually is a sound clip of the Mach-XL with and without headers. Sounds great to me!

The Mach XL sounds really good on the auto with headers. I have the Kooks 1 3/4 " headers, cats and the Mach XL. The sound is great. However, it is on the loud side, even during normal acceleration. I still haven't decided if i can live with the decibel level yet.

Also, you HAVE to tune out the AFM. Trust me.... You will also get codes thrown...... So you will have to tune out the rear o2 sensors.

Ight thanks guys! I might wait on the headers because with the headers I will need a tune and the tune will void my warranty which is not something I want to do now considering my car is fairly new. but as far as the solo goes... I think I will go with that. But how would you compare solo to corsa (which are the two that im am thinking of getting) because the solo is almost half the price.

Exactly- Solo is Stainless steel top notch quality. Why pay more for the name? When I had mine installed, shop manager made a comment that Solo was the best fit and finish, cookie cutter exhaust he had seen, period!

Only if your tune was the direct problem for your warranty claim, why is everyone so paranoid? If you get a Sh!tty tune and your tune caused your engine to seize, yes your screwed. If you get a tune and your waterpump goes out, well GM has to prove your tune is the reason for the failure. If you get headers and exhaust, of course your exhaust warranty is gone. in this economy, a service department that does not go the extra mile to get your work under warranty is only screwing themselves.

Just my experience-
Mike

lol yea i agree, with corsa you are just paying for the name. I have made up my mind that i will go with SOLO. And that's what everyone says about the warranty and tune. I want to get it tuned but there are two problems other than my voided-warranty-phobia. One is I'm only 18 and my dad bought my car for me so it's kind of his say and he is the skeptical one. lol. and number two, I live way out in the "sticks" and it is a good ways to a good tuner who knows what he is doing as far as I know. But I'm workin on it!
