Should be fine though I would imagine. My decals haven't had a problem, but I'm pretty sure I've only resorted to the autowash maybe twice. Maybe.
No choice. It's my DD and I live in Michigan where it's already begun to snow. Believe you me, the automated carwash is the last place I'd take my baby.

Mine is a daily Driver as well. I also live down a dirt road... ugh, for the time being. I get it washed every other day at the local touchless the spears still look fine, but it's only been a few months.

Once I move I plan to Xaino the car and hand wash it from then on out.

We're lucky enough to have a handwash at our aprtment, so I do all my washing/waxing myself, but if we didn't, it would be an expensive proposition keepin her clean. Most coin-ops charge per minute, and I take my time...

I wanna order these soon but wanted to know how difficult these spears are to install. I sorta had a hard time installing the gill fades. When you install the spears is there some sort of marking you can make with tape or something to let you know that you have them lined up correctly? Hate like hell to screw it up and waste $70 and have to order a new set...

Local body shop should only charge 40-50 to install them.

The best way to install them is to cut the Mask and Backing paper as close to the edge as possible, dry fit them and tape the position so you can slide them into position, using the wet install method. The will follow the body lines of the Hood Cowl.

I am getting a CGM and I'm going to paint on gloss black hood spears. I want to have "SS" on the spears like in post #76 (nice car, btw). My question is this: do you think the stencil type with the original body color showing through (like in post 76) looks better than placing a raised SS badge on each side? I can get the badges in silver, black, or red.

I am leaning toward a stencil with the original paint showing through, but I know that would cost more than buying raised badges that I can put on myself.

Thoughts?

I don't think I've seen a CGM with black spears. Good to be different. I think going either way will look fine. I would go with the stencil myself because it'll look more "stock". Black spears with CGM "SS" coming through will be pretty subtle though if that's what you are going for. That's not a bad thing. You could even have the SS painted a slightly lighter medium gray to stand them out a little. If going with badges silver will look good as long as you keep a little silver other places. A black badge will look stealthy but very subtle. Red will be too attention grabbing with those colors I think. Good luck!

Thanks for your input. I am going for that subtle look. I think black spears with SS stenciled on it will look classy.

I like subtle. I think it'll look very classy! Did this really really quick in photoshop. You can just make out the SS. That's the way to go.
