Dealer called me today to let me know my car just hit 3300 with a TPW of 12/21!! Sooo excited right now. He said that IF the transports are running between Christmas and new years it should be at the dealer in the first or second week of January. Also since I'm so close to the factory (could drive there in half an hour), delivery times from the plant to the dealer average 4 business days. There's even a SLIM chance I could get the car THIS year, but that's not likely to happen.

My dealer indicated that if they had VIN number they might be able to do the paperwork on the car before the end of December so I can get in on the tax deduction. So, if the car is built before the plant closes for the holidays, then that might work out for me.

I have a feeling we will remain a small group. Doesn't the plant only work half of that week due to the holiday? I just hope they get our cars on a train or truck before they close down for the holiday break. That would hold up delivery for an extra 10 days I fear.

Yeah this will be a small group. The plant shuts down Christmas Eve, so there's only a couple days for them to produce our cars. I too hope they get them onto the trucks for delivery, but lile you said...if they don't, they will just be sitting there until the plant reopens in the New Year.

I'm going to chime into the 12/21 TPW group. Got a 3400 update on 12/17/09. The ABMs are finishing strong. I hope it won't be too long from now. ABM/ss/rs

I did some reading in the forums at camarotracking.com and they say that as of TPW date, we will start getting daily updates from them instead of weekly. They will not be able to get updates to us from 12/24 on as the GM plant closes for the holiday week. I believe they also said that the cars that have been built and are in the "yard" will continue to ship after the 2 days xmas break even though the GM plant will be closed that week. That's what I could decipher from that forum.
