Good convos here... healthy debate is cool, i haven't seen anyone disrespecting anyone so far or cursing or calling names, there are some facts thrown out there and i dont see anything wrong with that... just makes the "muscle car wars" more interesting no? if any of you are too sensitive for this thread don't read it LOL it's not that bad...

Yep you are correct...but the reason you dont see some things is because we have to delete certain posts..and members cant see certain posts that are deleted.

I know fdjizm from the Mustang boards and he has never been disrespectful ever.

Maybe some Mustang owners get defensive when some members here call them names like "Mustangs are Chick Cars" and crap like that, that is disrespectful to them. and the Mods don't take action against those members. But I guess you really can't since this is a Camaro site and that type of talk is ok. And yes this subect has been covered before on 2 maybe 3 threads so no reason to hash that out..

I Love the Camaro and the Mustang by far my 2 top picks. They both are great cars and I for one want them around for a long time..

Anyway, it's all Cool.. One thing I hope we can all agree on is that the Camaro, Mustang and Challenger are back and they are a lot more fun than Driving a Toyota Prius or some other Econobox...

So drag radials and a few modifications can take a half second or more off of a cars time.

So whats new? I dont see what is so amazing about that.

Anyway. There are several independent same day same driver tests that show the camaro with a .5 second and 6mph trap advantage stock for stock.

Now....imagine this.

Next year when the 2011 mustang GT comes out and runs against the camaro in these same tests and runs consistent 12.5's at 116 mph (assuming camaro at 13.0 @ 110)

You know what? that wont be much better...and it will only take a couple mods to match it.

Hell....they will basically be equal. pshh...that wont be impressive at all. Why even buy it?

So remember guys. For you to even have some bragging rights that mustang better run 11's out of the box or it aint shit.

And the funny thing is...you mustang guys have your panties all wet over the POSSIBILITY of the new gt even being a little bit quicker than the camaro. Look in the mirror.

All fair points 2K05GT. And we normally do let the ribbing between Mustang and Camaro owners go a few rounds... We Don't want to take the fun outof this place and enjoy the rivalry as much as anyone else.

But, yes. In the end we side on the camaro. But we really don't issue that many infractions... thats why we close these threads. We don't enjoy banning members... That's kinda counter productive. And be sure Camaro guys have had their fair share of infractions and Bans for getting out of hand.

So you're saying stock, the mustang gt can run 13.0? Since a few mods and drag radials brought the guys time down to 12.5....

And the new mustang needs to run 11's out of the box or it ain't shit? What does the camaro need to run then? or is 13.2 still fast for a camaro, and 12.5 slow for a mustang?
