#83, mine arrived today. It's on the workbench to be installed this Friday along with the Rotofab radiator cover.

Got mine finally installed. I had a heck of a time getting the stock airbox out; the metal insert in one of the grommets had decided to lock itself onto one of the threaded posts and would NOT come off. I had to finally break the tab off the airbox to get the stupid thing to come out, so this was a one-way install; the stock airbox is now useless. The other thing that wouldn't cooperate was the small plastic insert in the end of the breather tube; I had to cut that tube at the end. Took me half an hour messing around with that stuff trying not to break anything until I just said screw it and just got the old stuff out of there. The CAI installed easily just as advertised. I put a couple of small hose clamps on either end of the rubber tube that goes from the CAI tube to the breather tube; those weren't included but the shrink-tubing did not want to shrink properly so I just clamped the hose.

Car idles smoother and the sound seems slightly louder and "healthier" for lack of a better word. I have the Zoomer's catback exhaust on it so it sounded great anyways but now it sounds more powerful in a subtle way. Hard to describe but it's a better sound than before. I can't tell any difference in power but then I haven't stepped on it to get into the higher rpms where you'd really notice it anyways. The car seems to "go" a bit easier now even when normally accelerating from a stop so I imagine there'll be a slight improvement in mpg.

Idles better, feels better, sounds better... I like it!

I have to say other then that issue with the heatshrink (it was 17 degress out) I am so impressed withthis setup.

My tuner was really impressed with the CAI inc, Kooks Headers (that he installed) and the Solo Mach X catback. This combo produced some remarkable numbers on his stingy dyno 367HP and 402 tq on an L99. The delta was over 60 HP difference and around 60 TQ from the base line, that was a diablo 91 octane tune.

In my Book $400 is a bargain!

Just received mine as well and am excited to install. My question is: What type/brand of oil do I use to coat the filter since it did not come with package? This is first filter of this type have ever used and I am curious to type and application procedures to include how often need to clean and re-apply oil in future.

I would like to see your setup sometime, with the headers and catback. I assume you tuned out the AFM

Installed mine Tuesday evening. Installation fairly easy. Took a little bit of effort to align the intake and the filter end up. It took a little manipulating to get lid to tighten, but worked fine once I fit it properly under the hood lip. Keep in mind I am certainly no mechanic. I ran a few runs from a rolling start. Sounds like it sucks more air. Runs strong, I can't really tell if any stronger.
Would I benefit any from a tuner (Diablo)? I also have Corsa cat back system.
??

It's ready to go as is; you won't need to clean and re-oil for awhile.
