Glad you found a set that works. Have heard good things about the Yokohamas. Have heard good things about Bridgestone Blizzaks as well. No snow in CT yet. Must have blown east or it's not here yet. Where are you on the island and when did it start?

I live in Freeport by the south shore. It started around 3 or so... Its not very deep or heavy yet but its enough. The Yokos work good in foul weather but they are definitely a low performance all around tire. I've driven MUCH better All seasons than these.

i was stuck in the middle of a street for 4 hours blocking traffic in a snow storm tonight. i finally had 3 guys help me push my car down a bad snowed in block. i made it home a few miles away doing 10 mph gliding on black ice going through every red light i saw to avoid getting stuck again. my driveway was blocked by even more snow that the camaro cant get over. my car now sits at a bus stop awaiting a ticket. most horrible / cold 4 hours of my life. best money ive ever spent.

edit: i also have decided that snow tires are a must.

Get them. I daily drove my 2000 Z28, running on snow/ice tires in the winter. You will not believe the traction you get (depending on the tire)

I'm currently driving on Scorpion Winter tires on my 2010.

Our Camaro is in Louisville Ky today... supposed to be in Nashville on Tuesday,, then it should be trucked here...

I took my wife to work last night, and then it snowed more during the night. I took the HHR to go get her this morning, It was very very slick.. the lady that came to releave her got stuck in the driveway and blocked me in.. She was driving a 4 wheel drive Jeep Cherokee... I had to drive my HHR through the grass in the front yard to get around her.. LOL I didn't have problems but a 4 Wheel drive Jeep got stuck... How funny is that..

People think because you have 4WD/AWD you can't get stuck. NOPE! It just means you get stuck faster!

Noob here - going to check out the 2LT Camaro tomorrow for a commuter car.

First of all that, TireRack video has these cars on a friggin hockey rink! I'm not sure my Grand Cherokee would do well on a hockey rink! For the really bad days I'll still use my Jeep (still love it) but it is just a car and there are millions that drive in the winter with all-seasons.

It sounds like the all-season tires will do fine in the winter? I know "real" winter tires would be better but the all-seasons can't be that bad.

My 2 cents FWIW
