It's all good, I could have done my part in being more to the point with my response, as well. Happens all the time. Although... I'm always down for a pissing contest!! (un)zzzzzzzzzzzip!

And actually Black was my 1st choice too, or would be, if i had a person maid that could keep it clean for me. Nothing better than a clean black car. I know my limits!

I've seen some really nice CGMs and the color is more dynamic than i gave it credit for at first. But don't get me wrong I love the SIM, shines like a diamond in the sun!

Take Care as well!
Okay, ya got me in the pissing contest, I am clearly at a disadvantage! Yeah, I think that this car bangs in any color, but I am partial to CGM I have seen one other in Silver and I was very pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be a little more dull, but the color was actually vibrant... Good choice

If the issues continue...have you thought about selling it? I know around here (vanc cdn) you would probably be able to get almost what you payed for it...

If it's driving you crazy, might be best to move on?

Best of luck with upcoming service...will keep fingers crossed for you...

Merry Christmas....

I noticed at the LA Auto show this year that the IOM SS with IO accent interior on display had a badly worn and stained/dirty driver seat. Obviously these cars go through a lot of abuse but still it was a lot more stained/dirty than I would think a new vehicle especially one on display at an auto show.

Probably everybody and their mother sat in the car and yes, the orange does show dirt very easily, but it's the color. Can you imagine white or beige leather? There is noticable dirt around the creases in the driver's seat but whenever I notice it developing, I hit it with Zaino Z-9 and Z-10 leather cleaner. Takes it right off and revitalizes the leather. Some of you people think you can have something nice and it'll last forever even if you don't take care of it. Please take care of your investments! Make sure you use great leather cleaners like Zaino (experience is only with Zaino) to upkeep ALL of your leather, evern the center console behind the cup holders and the leather accented shifter M6/A6. Awhile back a member posted this picture. Maybe the dude had Arby's or food from a grease truck before he got into his Camaro, but whatever happened, it ain't pretty.

Id be pissed if that was my car. The little things add up fast, in fact Id be steaming.

On a side note - Toyota bashing makes me laugh. If you notice in the commercials that tool Howie Long says "Chevys quality is as good as Toyota or Honda".

Hmmnnnnnnnn.... wonder why nobody says "Our quality is as good as Chevy". Oh thats right, because of the 80s and the 90s. Itd be great if their was factual data on what percentage of Toyotas made it to 300k vs Chevys or Dodges. Hopefully GM has it right finally (other than MOCIAFEs' Camaro!), for the first time in their history they have more than 2 relevant vehicles. (Camaro and Corvette)

Anway - good luck w/ everything.

I believe you can find info on this subject. I recall reading somewhere that Jeeps are considered highly environmental friendly because of their longevity. (less in the junk yards)

I don't know man. I believe that is due to their popularity among young adults that don't care about the performance/sports car bracket. MANY women love Jeeps too. Like, an inordinant amount.

Sorry, your right. I was referring to the 09 assuming that they were looking at a new one when they got there Camaro. I have a 1994 Subaru SVX with an aftermarket supercharger kit and an 04 STi driveline sitting in my garage. If I hadn't got My Camaro, I would have ended up an a Legacy 2.5GT Limited.

Have to agree with you on this one. Longtime Camaro fan, but Chevy looks like they are playing catch up and trying to fix a bad reputation. Hopefully this new Camaro helps them with that as it appears they are doing so. To the OP hopefully everything is fixed to perfection so you can enjoy your car like the many others on here that aren't having issues.

I watched the Ultimate Factories show on the Camaro on the National Geographic channel and it showed all parts of the car being painted at the same time except for the rubber front and rear so I cannot see the paint varying in color unless they had to repaint part of your car.

Well, the slightly different color paint theory for metallic paint has been discussed endlessly here, but really, it does seem to boil down to the angle and light. If you didn't know my car was Inferno Orange Metallic, and it was dark outside, would you not think it was a shade of red? I love the orange, but Hugger Orange would have been better in my opinion, but I love the metallic paint. Anyway, not to digress, but angle could be an issue in most cases, but in this particular case, I don't think so. Maybe the base bumper cover does something to the paint when applied to it as opposed to the rest of the body of the car?

It isn't really an issue when it's a GM, it's just something you live with... Little rattles have been part of GM cars and trucks for as long as I can remember...

They didn't need 60 billion dollars because they build the best cars in the world!
