The Camaro tends to be a very personal car that people get attached to.

I stopped by one of our local dealerships that had about 7 or 8 on the lot. I asked if production was finally meeting demand. Their answer was -- "no, we have a few on the lot but everyone wants to order one how they want it." They had 72 of them on order.

If I were ordering now, I would still put in a custom order. My pickup truck -- I got that off the lot.

My dealer didn't have a 2SS on the lot and couldn't find one in the color I wanted with the options I wanted within 200 miles.

There were many in stock around me, but none close to what I wanted. I traveled to Indianapolis, about an hour and a half away, and they had so many to choose from. There were many dealers there that had so many to choose from. I found the one exactly like I wanted it. I paid sticker for it, but was able to get more out of my trade than they were offering here. I think that the dealer is a bigger one, because they seem to have each color in SS and LT. Some were auto, some were manual.

I couldn't find one 1LT CGM with conv package and RS pack between camaroscotty, DE, NJ, PA and NC. That's why I ordered.

I ordered in May and I still would today. Just something about the anticipation.

And... Winter here so waiting is no problem. It will still be here sooner than if I were to settle for dealer stock in the spring.

Lots of automatic and lots of the black leather interior. I want a manual with the beige interior hence had to order.

The problem here was that the dealerships may only have one or two in stock. And its never what you want, they load the car up with every option possible and then still mark it up an extra 10K. I wasnt about to pay 56K for my car when I was able to order the one I wanted from a dealer not 20 miles away for MSRP.

there is less than 20 ss cars in all of western Canada, there isn't a dealer in Canada that has more than one in stock. and there built here!!!

Pretty sure thats an ordered part anyway.

But i ordered mine because I do not like taking one off the lot. Plain and simple. Easier to address why something could be wrong if you know it wasn't there to begin with.

I have at least 10 dealers within driving distance. At the time I ordered (late September) I would be lucky to find 1 maybe 2 cars on dealer lots. Now it's not as bad with most dealers having at least 1 car on the lot some with a couple.

Exactly. Its fun and nerve racking at the same time watching your car being built and tracking it. Would do it over agian myself.
