Never noticed it but I do sit back from the wheel a bit...I don't drink in my Camaro either so no problems with the cup holders. I keep my cell in there and my wallet...I've never been able to keep my wallet in my back pocket with any car! Odd huh?

What? Dear god, the Camaro is anything from a rough car. If you believe that it is, Im sorry.

Just saying that this so called "muscle car" that has all these little things on it can include a moveable arm rest for cheap and if you didnt move it you would never know it was there.

OP, you can probably retrofit the Malibu armrest cover mechanism onto the Camaro armrest and bam, there you have it.

Thank you. I'm going to look into that.

I don't have a Camaro yet, but maybe a temporary fix would be to stick an upside-down cup into the holder, and rest my elbow on the base of it.

There will be no drinking in my car. But the ride home from Wendy's involves some interesting wrist articulation when banging through the gears. But my CTS was the same way so at this point I'm used to it. They never take manuals into account when placing cup holder designs.

My elbow ends up in the cup holder and I am right at 6'-0". That is about all I would complain about the interior. :(

I am waiting for some industrious capitalist to come up with a drop-in arm rest extension to match my IOM interior. It will be black with orange stiching and the base will be shaped to fit inside the cup holder. This item will be expensive but I will still purchase it immediately without questioning the cost.

The cup holders are terrible for anything over the size of a regular soda can.

I'd just fill in it with sand and concrete...

Sorry had too...

I'm 6'1" so I have no issue with the cup holders other than if there is a drink in ether one; shifting is not so fun…

In all seriousness, I would find a custom interior shop and have them build you a removable pad that slides into the cup holders so it makes it flush. I'm sure they could match the color and stitching if you get the leather…

+1

And... do you really want a can (with no lid) in your car? Maybe I've just experienced a few too many quick turns, and laps full of soda. (No cans in my car!)

Edit: (looking for interior pictures)

it's telescoping steering column, is that pulled all the way out and you are still having to pull the seat forward? Is this causing the elbow location issue? I just adjust both until it's perfect.

These are AWESOME. My brother has a few and they work great. Not condoning drinking in a car but these are cool even if you have a few rugrats.
