With sports cars, come sports prices... And I love the musclecar sounds, stigma, heritage, etc... Just so much more soul in these cars than in some lame beemer that stinks like cologne...

The more I think about it, the better it sounds lol

Yes. Your point?

If you get that extreme about it, would you consider a 2002 Camaro SS a stock car?

All S281 Saleen Mustang start as Mustang GTs, and the mass majority even consider that stock.

Not necessarily, look at the 370z.
when the stang and camaro are re done let it be on smaller lighter platforms. and even with (only) 430 hp both cars will both gain straight line ability, staying true to their american heritage, and will gain turning capabilities

Ford allows people to option their Mustangs closer to exactly how they want it. Not the Mustang guys' fault. If they want HIDs but dont want a spoiler then thats how they get it. If they want a V8 but dont want the suspension that they know they wont even push to the limit. Ok fine, they get that way.

I'd love to see the horsepower stick around- if it doesn't, all my money's going into restoration, and I'll never buy another new car Guess we'll see if we can keep our HP while meeting the prudish new economy standards... One can only hope.
