The SS and the Challenger look , great as does the Mustang. The truth of that matter though is that on the street, if you roll up on a GT500 , its probably best to leave it alone...

You have awkwardly placed commas.

Well that depends on what you're driving. If I had a HPE650... I'd pick on it. But I get what ya saying.

Depends on the driver!

If its a driver who knows what he or she is doing, and shows it..then you're right, I'm not going to give it a go.

If its someone who obviously isnt a driver by nature..then you bet I'm going to roll on it.

Seriously folks, even we Challenger R/T owners accept that M6 SS > R/T Challenger performance and suspension wise.

Where we find our chosen realm of competition is the A6 SS, and in that realm, we're more closely matched than not.

how so? The auto's have nearly the same performance as their manual brethren. Unless its a an L99 that thinks its running on 87 octane it shouldn't be much of a difference than vs a manual SS.

Really? I have an A6 SS...and stock for stock my friend's R/T Classic was no match for me.

It is no different than the manual SS. It is just wishful thinking on the part of the Challenger driver.

oh boy...here we go again...

isnt the auto SS's putting out 400hp at the crank? if so, thats closer to the R/T's crank hp numbers stock compared to the 426hp of the M6 SS, so the auto camaro is more of a matchup than the manual camaro. also, i believe the R/T edges out the SS in the torque department? the R/T manual is listed at 410ft/lbs...please correct me if i'm wrong...too lazy to look up numbers right now. get a guy that can drive the R/T 6-speed (the track pak 3.92 gears really help) and its closer than you would think.

I tried to say that..but then again, I got the knee jerk reaction because apparently they read that I was saying the R/T's and the A6 L99's were "evenly matched". I do recall saying "more closely matched than not" compared with a R/T vs. M6 LS3.

Of course, its pointless to mention that the R/T's and the L99 Camaro's are running very close 1/4 ET's and their 0-60 runs are very close as well (1-2 .10's), because after all...Camaro owners are the ONLY drivers who are enlightened enough to see rationality.

Then again I havent been bashing the Camaro..but Camaro owners just love to bash the Challenger left, right and center, and are unwilling to recognize reality.

Hmm, I didn't know an R/T can hit 12.8's. Bet those SRT8 owners are hella pissed.

There are R/T's that are hitting high 12's, including 12.8's, with headers, catback, CAI and a tune.
