Although, I don't think there would be a problem with distinguishing that facia from SS and LS/LT models. I'd buy if for sure if that's what the Z28 would look like
I'd love that look to be the future Z28 as well. What I like about the front facia are the huge brake cooler vents instead of foglights. Also like the hood over the silly mail slot. It has that "I'm all business" look.

well gm put them on the concept, you liked it then didn't you. 22" s would take the car to the next level. if you look at all the custom chargers most of them have 22" s. just wait untill you see the pics of a custom maro on three pieced forged 22"s w/ a 1" drop and im sure you will change you minds.

To each their own, I too do not see the need for huge wheels on a performance car. And I also like a tire that has sufficient rubber/air between the rim and the road.

^^No self respecting car wears 22's. Even when the concept had them I thought it looked too much like a toy. Twenties and higher belong on trucks, it should stop there.

They have one, it's called a Corvette.

The new ZR1 comes with 19's up front and 20's in the back so I think that 20's still perform well...

now that sucks, but i don't its dead for ever. But having a 67-69 camaro Z/28 dage on this new camaro would look siiiickk!! I belive they should have made a Z/28 to compete with the 5.7 chally and give it 375hp. that way keep competition going. but to bad....

Style is different from performance. A customized car (I lump most concepts in with customs -a cool looking car that can't be mass produced) is rarely a high performance car. Often when such cars get such treatment, their performance suffers. Too low of an aspect ratio on reduces handling and ride quality. Bigger rims -even light weight ones, are harder to spin up and slow down. Performance vs Style

Every one WILL NOT want 22s. style, taste, whatever.
Unless you only have perfectly smooth roads... you need to have some rubber in between the pot holes and the wheels... plus why spend $$$$ on tires and get no tires...

like I said performance for the power we have 18's that are wide are big enough for this car. 20's look good and as long as they are wide are big enough 22's I personally don't like and if I were to race I would not have. more mass equals slower 1/4 mile times. . .also harder to turn. yadda yadda yadda. this is a performance car to some and a show car to others. personal opinion and I'm not changing my mind.

yes and the ZR1 has 638 hp and loads and loads of tq. it needs bigger wheels and tire combo to get the power to the ground.

For overall performance I think the designers of the Camaro actually said the 19's were the optimum wheel size or maybe it was 18's... 22's are for show only , I would never have a street car with anything like that.. they look terrible to me. plus the rubber band tires on them look and ride like crap.

I don't disagree with any posts saying 20"+ wheels aren't for performance. I don't really like the DUB look on many cars, although, cars like the Mustang and Challenger look really good with them, IMVHO. I think, that if my car has a stance like the stock SS, I'd have to lower it, because I'd prefer a different wheelhouse proportion. There's just something I need to do with it. It's not a big deal, but I'd prefer to have ZR1-type wheel/tire gaps

People say 20" wheels are for show while 18" wheels are for go.

Mustang GT comes with 17" rims standard and 18" rims optional. The Shelby GT500 comes with 18" rims (9-1/2" wide). The Shelby GT500KR lists for $80K and still comes witth 18" rims, even though they could obviously afford larger wheels if they wanted them. One SVT engineer explained to the media (at the unveiling of the GT500KR) that 18" wheels were the ideal size for best performance with the Mustang platform. But perhaps the Camaro chassis can better utilize 20" rims? And the Challenger SRT8 comes with 20" wheels, but they are forged aluminum (lighter than cast aluminum) and have a 45 aspect sidewall (not a skinny 30 or 35 aspect ribbon of a sidewall).

Just food for thought here, and I very well may be wrong and I know I'll probably offend some people here, but wasn't the 4th gen SS better than the Z28 in performance? Don't get me wrong here, I love the Z28, and I own one so I'm by no means knocking on it, but as I recall didn't the SS have 315 HP and the Z28 305? I heard something about the Z28 actually having much more than that, and I know the chassis code is Z27 for the SS which would make the Z28 higher. But, in the event that the SS was superior what makes you think that the 5th gen will be different? Again this is food for thought, not a declaration of war lol. Try to be understanding if I'm incorrect ; ).
