OK, How about meeting at 9:30 at the Mission Bay Info Center at the Clairmont Dr. exit, off the 5.
It'll take 15ish minutes to get to the Convention Cntr from there. Sounds like the TOP floor of the Ace Parking structure east of the Convention Center connected to the new Hilton would be a good place to park. I'm not familiar with it, but it was a place mentioned by DET MSCL.

How about it ? a Caravan ?

I suggest approaching the ACE Parking Structure at the Convention Center from the WEST...reason is, they are constructing a Pedestrian Bridge right there from the parking structure corner, over the Train / Trolley Tracks to Petco Park. That construction is on hold due to engineering issues (according to KUSI news a few weeks ago), so approaching from the WEST and turning right (SOUTH) at the Stop Light Intersection should avoid the construction. I have not been down there to see it first hand, but that is my recommendation!

A GPS will more than likely route one south on I-5 to the Imperial Avenue exit, and may take you underneath that construction. Approaching from the West (on Pacific Highway) not only avoids it, but allows us to "parade" past the SD Convention Center!
