I'm 17, will be 18 next Monday! and i have a 2SS/RS, 2003 Cadillac CTS, and a 2008 Chrysler 300c heritage edition. All cars are paid off except for the Camaro which should be within this year. I paid for them all on my own. It's what i saved my money for since i was just a little kid...for a nice car, ended up with 3, and I'm not bragging. So i really don't see how he is. Point is, you can get pretty much what ever you want at no matter the age if you set your mind to it and get shit done. Hater's will be hater's and they disgust me. How about you be happy for another fellow Camaro member instead of being a dick?

For everyone else, i see many people on here saying "hey i just got a Camaro" so why can't this kid without being bashed on? seriously?

Hey, if an 18 year old can afford these kinds of toys, I'm all for it. I know I wish I could have at that age. I got my Camaro SS 5th Gen at age 38. First one I could afford since high school when I had my POS 73' Z28 in 1986. Mainly because we allways had to have a couple family vehicles and this Camaro is mostly a toy. Though I drive it daily, it's not an AtoB car.

I said before, I didn't want a car, I wasn't looking for a car, and I certainly didn't need a car. I just wanted THIS car. I'm 39 and it's taken me over 20 years to get to afford my toys comfortably.

I'd say to the OP, don't overextend yourself. Leave room for change. Family, hard times, school, or just savings. That's all.

Yeah, but most of these line engineer positions also require 3-5 years experience. At 18, I -really- doubt he has those qualifications and you can be assured that they weren't hiring before he was 18. I know I wouldn't.

I am more inclined to believe his "tech" position is phone technical support, in which they hire anyone willing to work for 12 bucks an hour.

You say that you paid for three cars with the money you've saved since you were a child, but where did that money come from? Seems mom and pop gave you quite an allowance, yet you claim to have bought the cars yourself.

My father passed away a long time ago. I got social security checks, still do. I work two jobs, and the only help i had was my parent to co-sign the loan for me.

It's not about bragging or anything else.

Most of us were 18 once, and I worked my ass off doing paper routes, working on farms, construction and scuba diving to clean boat bottoms. I worked harder and for more money that many in my high school. And, I sure as hell couldn't afford to buy a brand new 1981 car when I was 18. I bought a used 73 Dodge Charger SE for 1 grand.

I did, at 21, get money from something set aside by my parents. I bought a motorocycle and put the rest into investments.

So, can 18 or 21 year olds have the money? Sure...but very few 18 year olds are going to be making more than 30 grand a year these days. VERY FEW.

So, as someone else pointed out, there are a few likely scenarios.

1) All BS.
2) Got money from parents or parents are funding the rest of his life (the most likely).
3) Selling Drugs (also possible...and almost as likely).

So...what this really is about is the truth.

He's allready the first 18 yo kid, job or not, that I've heard of that hasn't had a camera and pics loaded up allready.

Dude, there are red flags all over this. Oh, and BTW, congrats on your cars.

Maybe do some of the math. Those cars are not cheap. Did you get a crazy allowance at 10 yrs old? Paid cash? I mean, if you started at 10 years old, you would have needed to save around 1000.00 per month. When I was ten, my allowance wasn't anywhere close to that. LMAO
