2 more days here then tickets get issued along with some points maybe?

Undue care and attention.

Bring back vigilantes. Take out the side window with a bat.

Too many lives lost here.

I drive several hundred miles every day within NJ. I see it all the time, usually causing accidents. It's illegal and just plain stupid.

I do it when stopped. If it's a dire emergency, I will pull into the right lane and do it, or pull over completely on a single lane road. I had a cop ask me once the hell I was doing, when I explained he nodded, thanked me and drove off

I don't think texting while driving should be illegal specifically. It's all part of reckless operation - eating, applying makeup, using a cell phone, reading a printed document, sex.

In Ontario the province has passed a law only hands free devices are allowed while driving. Anyway I don't get the texting thing while driving why not just call and talk? There are a lot of people who can't multi-task i.e. drive and change radio stations, CDs, talk to passenger or just plain drive. I found you have to have a lot of situational awarness now a days while driving.

If you are saying that then you are taking a lot for granted, including lives... Assuming it to mean that you text while driving...

I don't mind having the phone on speaker, but that's about all I do with it, I don't care to look at it or even try to hold it to my head while trying to steer through traffic. Plus, I've heard it's Illeigal in CO too. I've seen way to many accidents due to cellphones on my simple 15 mile commute. It's terrible. :(

It's also illegal to let your car idle while not in it. They call it "puffing". Kinda negates the purpose of remote start.

Here in Oregon it is now illegal to text or use a handheld phone while driving and no phones for 18 and younger. It's even illegal to simply push a button on the phone to dial a #. They say that's the same as texting.
