Headers or lowering/handling kit?
On a limited budget here and was wondering what others opinions were on -
1)- Lt headers with X-pipe or 2)-eibach kit 1" lower w/swaybars and sub frame connector. I can afford to do only 1 Ordering CGM 2SS/RS Jan 10/10 |

Lowering it would seem to cause more problems given your area this time of year... I'd go with sound.

It already has plenty of power. Get something functional: better handling. Do the suspension upgrade.

Lower it. It needs to be lowered. You'll love the complements you'll get, and the bonus will be the ride.
The first thing that I'll do when I get mine this coming summer, will be to lower it with the Eibach springs. Tinted windows next, then sound and performance upgrade last. JMHO |

Have you looked at Pfadt for the lowering springs?
Great product with flawless results.... |

SS already has decent power....not that it couldn't use more but I would go in the looks direction first.
Lower the car! It should be cheaper than the headers as well. Then start saving for the engine upgrades. BTW: Have you seen the new Hotchkis frame brace? Do the springs and sway bars first then consider the brace and Pedders bushings. Just my opinion.

Yuppers I've seen the brace and if I go for the lowering kit it will include the subframe brace support, wether I go with Eibach or Pfadt springs and bars. still cheaper than a Good set of headers and cats. soo I'm kinda leaning towards a sleaker lower look for now, knowing that it will carve up the Canadian rockies like no tommoro.
Thx to all who responded. |
