You can have it reinforced and plastic welded - but it will be damn near impossible to get a perfectly smooth finish on it.
Yes the whole front nose is 1 piece.
Yes the V8 fits on the V6 nose. But as someone said the grills are separate part numbers.
Height difference....The shape of the V8 bumper is different - you probably know that already and others have said so. But let's focus on the bottom/underside. The lower lead "point" of the V6 bumper (i.e. the most forward point of the car) is slightly higher than the same spot on the V8. But I think this is mainly b/c the underside of the V6 bumper (the pained part between that point and the air dam) is on a greater slope than the V8 which is close to parallel to the ground (not quite but close). One would think that this would then mean the bottom of the air dam is further from the ground on the V8 - but this is not true b/c the V8 sits slightly lower than the V6. So the gap between the ground and the air dam is pretty much the same on both cars. So as you can see, the answer to your one question is.... complicated.

Changed my bumper

I did it. I had my front bumper that was cracked changed to an SS bumper and I added the heritage grill.

I had it done at Gabes Collision in buffalo with parts from Paddock. The parts including heritage grill, paint and installation cost around $1400. Left the car there and flew to a wedding came back yesterday and it was done. They did an amazing job. The guy I dealt with is Chris Vanhise. Amazing job and the service was excellent. My quote to have this done in Canada was $1600 + WITHOUT the heritage grill.

I comes in I think they call it Argentia grey, this is what it looks like right out of the box. The center is black but the outside edges can be painted. Mine was painted gloss black around the outer edges and over the signal light area.

The prices are the same for both front covers. list price CDN is 568.50+taxes. Plus paint. If you want to get one from the US, there's brokerage fees to get it across the border plus tax and shipping. Weigh out all of your options. WHere in Canada are you? I can find a dealer and see if I can convince them to cut you a deal on it.

The bumper cover had to be painted as it came unpainted. I could of had the heritage grill painted but decided it looked better the color it came in on a SIM car. It looked black out of the box, it may have been a dark grey.

I went over to buffalo and had it done so I wouldnt have brokerage fees etc. Buffalo only two hrs from Toronto. The cost to have it done here without the heritage grill was outrageous (approx $1600 CAN)nand since I was going to fly out of buffalo anyway I dropped it at Gabes and had them do it for me while I was out of town.

Canadian pricing is nuts. Next year I am going to upgrade my exhaust and will have it done in the U.S instead of here

If anyone is interested call Chris at gabes auto collision in new york. Its about 20 minutes past the U.S Canadian Border.

I wonder if I can hook up with an American dealer and get them sent up here and be able to pass along the savings. I'll have to look into how that works and if it would be frowned upon or not.
