Got my Vector Motorsports tune in... you can read about it here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52692 post # 78.

With all the modifications Im doing to my car, I'll be eating my Camaro5 Fest trip budget.. So I think mid Jan. I'll know for sure if I'll be able to make it or not.

Long time browser here, finally got around to joining. As painful as it is, I won't be placing an order for another 6-8 months. Until then, I just have to browse the forum and drool over everyone else's rides.

I'm sure I've seen some of you around town before, so if anyone catches a bald dude in a black F-150 staring at them, it's probably me. I live and work on the east side of Wichita. For now, I'm able to enjoy this snowy weather since all I have to drive around in is my 4wd pickup. It probably infuriates the rest of you...lol. Well, hope to see you guys/gals around.

I've actually been having fun in the snow.
One thing that caught me by surprise was a bit of snow
got blown into the wheels during the last storm, through off the balance.
On the way to work this morning (O'dark-thirty) I initially thought
some weights had come off. Got to work and once it was light out,
went out and cleaned the packed snow out; all is as it should be now.

Saw a black SS with IOM stripes at the QT on Kellogg/159th the other day. I think the wife/girlfriend in the passenger seat saw my jaw drop when I came out and laughed. I didn't hang around to chat the guy up when he came out (there were only guys in the store at the time...SS drivers seat was empty, 2+2=guy driver?). I'm sure getting chatted up by everyone gets old fast.

Belong to anyone on here? Car looked sweet...dirty....but sweet.

Edited: Camaro509....you have orange stripes?

Nope, not me. Mine is stripe-less for the time being.
I've seen the one you speak of though.

If it was me, don't think I'd own up to it.
Don't think the wife would approve of me
giving rides to other women

So, being a Thunder season ticket holder, we go to the game tonight and take the Camaro because I was under the impression that the snow was not to start until later. Leaving the game we discover the Camaro under about 1/2" of snow already. The car handled great in the fresh snow, but that wasn't the part that was the most interesting... it was the dark colored (it was hard to tell if it was black, CGM, or IBM) Camaro that I passed on 235 on the way home... and here I thought I was the only crazy one driving mine around in the snow!!

OMG! That was ME!!!! Those summer tires do NOT do well in snow! My Mom and I were at Koch Arena watching the womens Basketball Game (my daughter plays in the Pep Band), and like you, had no idea it was supposed to be snowing so soon!!

I figured I had 2 choices... get a Camaro and have to drive it all the time as a daily driver, or sit back and drool enviously over all the other ones I see on the road while still driving my Monte Carlo (which was a great car).

Hopefully I made the right choice

I drive my SS as a DD, and I love it. Got snow tires and it has no problems. By the way, I traded in my Monte for the Maro, I think it was a great choice.
