I took my car to get it serviced today and got them to clear the CEL. I hope it stays off but the tech said they will eventually come back on. I hope he's wrong!!

I got him to give me a list of codes and this is what they were:

P0430 Catalyst system low efficiency bank 2 (because of LT's)
P0420 Catalyst system low efficiency bank 1 (because of LT's)
P1153 HO2S Insufficient switching bank 2 sensor 1 (because of LT's)
P1133 HO2S Insufficient switching bank 1 sensor 1 (because of LT's)
P0455 Evaporative emission (EVAP) system large leak (because of New ERA OTR intake)

I would like to get a tune but don't want to risk my warranty.

I had a similar experience. Installed ARH headers and magnaflow exhaust. I got an SES light after the first 100 miles. I recently (two weeks ago) reset it while doing some other work (disconnected the battery) and have been driving a bunch since, and no SES light. We'll see if it pops back up, but it's really not a concern for me either way.

Don't tune it yet! Just give it some time. If, after 2,000 miles or more..and after a few months of driving and it does not reset itself....AND, you really want to get rid of the light that badly that you'd junk your warranty, go for it. But, give it some time. I drove mine for 4 months with it on. I reset it and it stayed off until those cold, cold days. And, after the weather passed, it turned itself back off. Just give it time.

I did the battery and the fuse pull too. ...not at the same time specifically for the CEL light. I did it just for the fact that resetting all those parameters can help.

It won't hurt anything. Disconnect both and let it sit overnight. Needs to stay off for a while.

I have been working my Lean fuel trims and thought I was close, Yesterday i started her up, back out of the garage, put her in drive and bam another engine light- this time it was code P0420- Catalyst efficiency system below threshold along with the lean fuel trim bank 1 and 2. Talking with my tuner, it seems that we are close-but not there yet. I hate to take another trip to Dallas- Almost 400miles RT.

Anyway, the Saga continues.
Have I mentioned that the car runs amazing.

Oh, I believe the car runs awesome. But, 400 miles SUCKS. Maybe time to find a closer tuner?

Also, if you went the route of the tune, just have the dude turn of the indicators for the cats and all. No more issues after that!

No emission testing in my state, so no cats on my car.

Remember on these cars if you have HPT or EFI live that when you shut down the rear 02's you also should turn off the 02 sensor heaters.

Okay, I know it's not the v8, and they aren't LTs, but....

I just recently stuck JBA shorties on my LLT, which when compared to the factory OEM manifolds, look like LTs. I have Flowmaster 44s as an axleback system and I stock my IAT sensor in the snorkel of the air box. Also of note is that the front o2 sensors are real close to where the factory ones would be, as that section of pipe had to be cut out. The rear sensors are exactly where they were before.

Here's the problem, I've got the CEL, and according to AutoZone its..
Post Catalyst
Bank 1
Rich mixture, or something along those lines.

I had AutoZone reset the code, didn't last a full day. It is cold here, right at 20*F, so I thought I'd mention that. The code originally appeared after a couple of 1/4 mile pulls in about 25*F weather, give or take 5*.

Anyone care to help me before the car goes to the dealer? Is this going to be similar to what you v8 guys are going through?

Thanks ahead of time! BTW, I posted this here because it seems to be more common amongst the v8 crowd.

I have not had the light come on for 250 mi after i installed my ARH LT's with cat's and X-pipe, I think its the fact that my CAI holds the A/F close the the OEM tune.

What do you think?

Be nice if that's true, but I doubt it. Either you will get the light for the rear 02s, which I had shut off along with the heat, or the dreaded P1133 and the P1153 codes (Bank1 and 2 shifted lean), this is due to the 02 extentions and the front 02 being moved further down the exhaust.

If I were a betting man, I would say it's only a matter of time..

Mike
