Exclamation Painted SS (Non-RS) Taillights & Sidemarkers

Just got my taillights and sidemarkers painted. It's not completely black but it looks that way from a couple feet. It's a really really dark red if you look at it closely. It looks incredible when it's turned on. I'll post some night pics too. I was thinking about painting the taillight bezels black too, but I changed my mind... I like the chrome.

So what do you guys think?

Now I'm thinking about painting the bowtie black, but just the gold part, not the chrome part. Next mod will be tinted windows.

Yeah it is legal, only problem here is the paint cracks. Give it a year and that will not look the same at all. Best to use the kits that you put a cover over the light.

Is it gonna look like stock if I get the cracked paint removed?
And btw I've seen plenty cars with painted taillights that have had them for years and nothing happened to them.

I've painted lights that were done almost 8 yrs ago and they are still looking good. It's all about how good they are done and the quality of the materials. They look sweet.

agreed. i've had it on my jeep for about 5 years now. faded slightly but no cracks.

fyi: not legal in all states. some require actual red plastic lens to be showing.
looks great though
