My Story:

I'm going to tell a story (on myself!):

It's been family joke for a long time that when we got old and senile, we would buy a hot rod and drive 35mph in the left lane, back up traffic untill they took our licenses away....well, late last summer, I did something that caused my bride (of 36 years) to say, "Are you getting senile?". To that, I replied, "Is it time to order the car?" ....so, we took delivery of our Camaro SS just before Christmas (took two months to get here after it was built, but that's another story...)

Now, the 'rest of this story':

We live in a itty bitty town of about 30,000 that is only accessible by sea or air; you cannot drive in or out of Juneau...and there's about 40 miles of road from end to end. We live "out of town" and drive 8 miles to work in a 45 mph zone. Four wheel drive SUV's, pickups and Subarus are the 'norm'. Everybody that knows we got the Camaro are asking, "What are you doing buying a Camaro in Juneau?" ....we reply, "Did I tell you our family joke about when we get old and senile...?"

I doubt if we put 5,000 miles a year on the Camaro, so a few years down the road (when they take our licenses), somebody will be able to grab a nice, low mileage 2010 SS...

I got asked today when I'll get my first speeding ticket...I replied that 1. Most cars in town are slower than mine, why should I bother racing them? 2. The few cars that are faster would just beat me anyway, why should I bother racing them? and 3. I just look 'cool' in a Camaro and at my age that's enough (and not all that easy to do!)

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

That's a good story... You need pics of it parked and surrounded by 4 wheel drives
