Thanks for the info philipdestafano (did I spell that right?). Anyway, when I bought my car I had the dealer include a clear coat sealant inside and out for free (due to some dealer wars..lol) It is by Simonize and I wondered if this was the same thing or something different because they said it was good against bug guts, road salt, etc. but not dings and nicks from rocks and stuff so I don't know if a clear bra would be an addition for me or redundant.

Thanks again for your reply and I too am glad everyone is still around!!! Hope all are enjoying the ride and the mods....By the way I had a guy in a gas station tell me that my Camaro was the coolest one he had seen so far...That makes ya feel good!

Also, I was dumb enough to forget to tell my dealer not to put their sticker on the back, so what is the best way to get that off without damaging the paint? Any help appreciated....BYW Mighty T.......those are awesome stripes! Makes me wish I hadn't gotten factory stripes (although they are painted on) and had them customized myself! That just looks SWEET and totally unique....I'm jealous (LOL) Great job!
Glad to see more of you are still here! The 11/02 gang lives on!!

Thanks smileyface3! I am glad you like them.

I really liked your Camaro as well. Besides yellow, I am a bit partial to blue since my first car was a blue 68 Camaro. Didn't have white stripes, but back in the 70's I put big bold letters on the rear fenders reading CAMARO! Funny how you do things at 17 you'd never do later on in life.

Your gloss white paint looks great ...

Thanks MightyT! Actually, my stripes are SIM though they look white in some lighting. I wanted metallic on metallic which is why I didn't go with white.
I too am happy the 11/02 gang is still intact. We have to keep a good thing going....BTW, is anyone going to the Camaro5 Fest thing in April? I have been trying to find out more info on it but am having trouble finding specifics.....like what day, where in Georgia, etc. If anyone knows, please pass it on......

Ah ... OK ... yeah I found out myself that many pictures only reflect half of how amazing our cars really are in person.

I found this regarding Camaro5Fest ... Does that help?

Close enough!

I really doubt that's the same thing. That sounds more like a special wax or something than paint protection film.

And just in case you were wondering, you can't even tell there's anything on the car unless you're right next to it. It looks great! (Then again, I've also heard that rally yellow is one of the best colors at helping the clear bra to look invisible).

Thanks again MightyT. That link showed all the info I was looking for. That sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I would certainly not want to race, but must seeing all the Camaros and being part of the excitement would be a blast. Know anyone here that is planning on going??? I don't know for sure yet. I guess I will wait and see, since April is a little ways away, however that weekend is also my son's 14th birthday, so unless he wants to go, I don't know.......

Kinda the same boat for me too MightyT, I am up in New Jersey and even though it is a bit closer for me than you, the logistics just don't work out. I have basically emptied my brownie point account with the wife by getting the car so I am not sure I have enough time between now and April to replenish it.

By the way, I see you're waiting on delivery of a new DSLR, I think these cars should come standard with one so every owner can properly photograph and show off their ride

Philip, you are right about it being noticeable, or not I should say, I did the entire front end of mine and a bunch of other places as well and unless I point it out to someone or the sun just catches the edge of a piece of film just right you can't even tell it is there, then again I have Silver paint so it hides EVERYTHING... hell, I could hit a deer and after it landed on my hood nobody would see it Well, not quite... but it sounded good...

Brownie point account LOL Robert.

Funny story...my daughter works at an ice cream shop. 2 girls came in who she doesn't really care for. They were talking about a really cool car another friend saw and took a pic of. This friend sent the pic to these girls on their phone. But they said they didn't know what kind of car it was. So my daughter says "Lemme see, maybe I can tell you". They show her the pic, and she laughs and says "That's my mom's new car!"
The girls said "OMG! That's the Camaro? Your mom is so lucky!!"

Cool, except kinda weird to think people are taking pics when I'm driving and I don't even know about it. lol

Yeah ... funny you mention the points ... my work gives out reward points as an ata-boy now and then. As you move up though you get less frequent recognition this way. These points can be traded in for travel and other stuff. Anyway, realized I wasn't gonna get that trip to Maui anytime soon and I got the itch for a camara, well ... traded in my points! So, technically free DSLR!!

But, along with the Canadian Camaro Leather Jacket and the Oshiwa Signed Litho, I think a DSLR should all show up in your trunk at deliver!!!

OK ... OK .. I'm up!!!
