Are you kidding ?. You can here. Interstates are marked: Max Speed 65. Min speed 45. The old coots driving 50 MPH in the left lane with their left directional on are the ones who should be given a ticket.

A situation where radar detectors won't help is when the police are pacing you from behind with their radar guns off.

A radar detector just like all other radio frequency signals travel in straight lines, so if the hill is between you and the detector then it will not be able to get you.

The cops like that to, that means easy overtime at the courthouse.

We don't have points here. 4 tickets in a year and you lose your license for 30 days. 5 tickets in 2 years and you lose it for a month. No traffic school, no points, no diversion programs, no how not to drive with your head up your a** classes. Pretty straight forward.

Your radar detector is only as good as the officer running the radar. Even the most expensive radar detectors available won't do you a bit of good if the office isn't sending a signal for the detector to pick up. Depending on how the officer is running radar determines whether a signal is sent or not. Even the old style X etc. bands as well as newer laser doesn't have to send a signal until an officer wishes. Of course, the detector would go off, but too late to do much about it then.

One way to enjoy the pleasures of owning a C5 and speed without getting a ticket is to become the PoPo.

I never gets tickets!

I got two tickets in the same week after 3 months of owning my ss. On the 21st a 77 in a 55 and on the 26th (december) got a 74 in a 55. Both were in areas where the speed drops from 65 and were in clear, dry conditions with no other cars around me. I was 100% cooperative, and polite. No breaks.

Um, unless my math is off....

1 month generally equals 30 days

So you get the same license suspension for both cases?

Not like it matters to me, in Texas we don't do points and you can generally get deferred disposition (probation) or defensive driving on just about any ticket that's at or below 25 over.
