I was up there in August 09, for a family reunion, the same exact weekend my Camaro was delivered to my dealer. That was not easy. First time up there no plans to return but you never know.

Thanks everyone. I went by Hurd today to take one of the 2LSRS out for a spin. Very nice and (stating the obvious) gobs more power than my MINI Cooper. Did not pull the trigger though. I want to swing by Paul Masse Chevy to check out the Victory Red Camaro. The Red Jewel is a really nice color but I like RED!

Count me in.....I'm in West Warwick and just picked up my Black/Orange 2SS. I'll be driving it all winter, so i'm sure you'll see me driving around.

CONGRATS!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND you look at the 3M bra treatment! I did it to mine and am VERY glad I did... it camer out looking great and has already paid for itself several times over in body work touching up what would surely have been serious digs/dings, etc... I did the front fascia and the side mirrors only...

I've worked in the dealership world before in pretty much every aspect, and the benefits of that stuff don't outweigh the drawbacks. Yes, it does a great job at protecting the paint from small rocks and sand; but I've seen too many times where it takes 2-3 applications to get it so it doesn't peel right off or bubble. Plus it discolors usually within 2-3 years. Also, since it blocks UV rays the paint around it will fade slightly, and when the film is removed you can see a marked difference in the paint finish which is permenant.
If it was half the price <$200 i'd consider it for short-term use (winters only), but not at what it costs. I do however have it applied to my lower rear quarters on my Monte Carlo to protect it from rubber and debris .

Yep, except they wouldn't move on the price, and it had a sunroof which I did not want.

Monte - points taken re: 3M bra... In fact mine needed two tries to get it right. I'm hoping that the UV fade issue is minimal as mine is a true fair weather garage queen. The yellowing aspect concerns me for sure. I just don't see much of a viable alternative other than budgeting a scheduled trip to the body shop to repair damage that us sure to follow.
