Ok...let me tell you about this "little" deal!! Trixxterr always says I want this car or that car. We have been together for 4 yrs now. So...we agreed BEFORE he gets another vehicle (and he can have wahtever he wants) I want a truck (F150....yes a FORD). BUT.....then I saw the red RS and fell in love. I came from the darkside. So instead of a truck I am trading it with the red RS!!! That is why I get mine FIRST!!!!!!

Hey does anyone know if the Silver Camaro has paddle shifters with it or if those paddles behind the steering wheel are for some other function? If it has paddle shifters I would seriously consider getting a automatic.

yes those buttons on the back of the steering wheel are paddle shifters, and they come on the automatic V6 and V8.

Nice... I can't wait to get one and my buddy is really looking forward to getting a RS. I will be stepping up and getting the SS myself.

Maybe a dumb question, but... Those "wings" above the paddle shifter switches... are you supposed to put your index and middle finger there so you can grip the wheel with those two fingers and your thumb, homer-simpson-style, and then shift with your pinky & ring finger? Every time I see these pics i'm imagining the hand contortions to make it work and hold the wheel firm while maneuvering.

the "wings" i think you are talking about, if viewed from the front show you a + or a -, for upshift and downshift. Hold the steering wheel however you are comfortable.

I think those little "paddles" rising out of the steering wheel are there just to tell you which button does what. The real shifters are the buttons, so you could hold the wheel the way you normally would and just press those buttons back there to shift.
