Still waiting on my 1ss to show up. I had a 03' Dodge Ram I absolutely loved until a drunk driver totaled it in Nov. Luckily for me, my awesome wife steered me in the direction of either a Mustang or Camaro (I was bent on getting another truck), it was a no brainer after test driving them both. Which was a surprise to me since my first son was born in Dec., not exactly something one would expect to get with a kid

Welcome! Be sure to keep an eye on this thread; this is where we post our plans for get-togethers. If you're an IT geek, you'll fit right in - several of us are too! Oh, and congrats on the new addition - and also on the new 4-wheeled one on the way! I bought a Firebird when my daughter was 3 - kids and fun cars don't need to be mutually exclusive!

We IT geeks seem to be multiplying faster than the rest of humanity... good I thought we were doomed otherwise. And yes congrats on your new baby... of both propulsion types; 4 wheeled and four limbed

This IT geek will be looking for new projects soon. Please contact me if you know of any companies needing consulting on Oracle's Hyperion products.

Welcome, Gibsoneb!

Since all the geeky IT folks chimed in I decided it was time for the nerd to enter the chorus...

Congrats on everything, and we're all looking forward to better weather & car shows - hopefully sooner than later. Like the others said, just keep checking back here to see what trouble we're all into - we'd love to have join in the fun :-)

I can only get an upgrade disk here. It's cheap, but is it possible to install 7 from an upgrade disk?

Ooo. And this should work with Boot Camp?

IT is a great field to be in, plus the money is good! That's cool a lot of you are in IT also. Anyone watch Big Bang Theory?

Thanks all for the greets! I'm really pysch'd about this car, the wait is really killing me. All in all its a good thing, with a newborn, it's a great new hobby for me and him to do together since he won't be out of my sight! He'll be my cruise-in co-pilot buddy
I have to give up paintball every weekend, so that hobby money goes to the new toy!

I said I would post pics so here you go...

This was a SPADE 197x Olds vert with a full C6 interior. I am not usually into this but it was done very well!

Here is the SPADE Camaro and the only other 5th gen there. ehh...

As always, the 1990 OSP IROC.

Nice 2nd gens:

Skybird... never heard of it.

Here is the Granny Goose. Semi-famous local race car from the early 70s. Owned by a guy I know from work. I am not sure if he was the driver but i know he helped built it. It was restored back to exactly like it was in the 70s.

No tune here. I am waiting until its a couple years old and I have done some mods. I plan on exhaust and CAI and maybe gears. I will do the exhaust and CAI myself then whenever I can swing the tune and gears together, i will take it to Cincyspeed and have them install the gears and tune the car. Probably looking at summer 2012 for the gears and tune... once the warranty is out.

Exhaust and CAI will come as soon as I feel comfortable (wife lets me) spending $1500 on car stuff!

I have no experience with tuning. Never had it done before.
