Both Pictures of the Cold Air Inductions Shows the Mass Air Meter Was Unplugged this could definately be the Problem.

Let's keep this thread clean. It's been okay so far, but I can see an ugly turn soon if we're not careful. Please continue the respectful course you all have kept thus far and we'll be okay

Respectfully...

Does anyone have an LMR intake that can share a dyno graph for us? Preferably stock vs the intake.

The only takeaway from this thread is to wait for GM High Tech Magazine to do their tests...

Disclaimer: I bought the Cold Air Induction CAI due partly to Jannety's testing.

I know somebody that might have their dyno sheet of before and after a tune with the LMR already there...

...........Hood is open. Unfair advantage to open topped LMR intake. We don't drive around with our hoods open. Now don't be afraid and CLOSE THE HOOD!

When I had my car dynoed with the LMR intake, the hood was open for all three pulls. I gained ~10rwhp on the last run when we aimed a shop fan at the intake filter. I agree with the others that when the hood is closed...if it's not a sealed system pulling from somewhere outside the engine bay...you'll be sucking that hot engine air in and it will likely make a difference.

Additionally, the outside air is QUITE a bit different now than when Jannety did their tests...when dealing with open vs closed hoods and open vs sealed intakes...I'd be willing to bet that will make a difference as well.

The interesting thing to me about the last picture is that the CAI piece went home with the owner...and not into the garbage...

The funny part about it is we have not heard about such a test. Why would LMR be informed and not us?

Hey is the wait still at 3-4 weeks? Because I think they claim to have done all this themselves.
