OK GUYS, HERE ARE THE QUESTIONS THAT I HAVE WRITTEN DOWN SO FAR...I will bring them with me when I come tonight if you guys want a copy to jot down notes on I will bring a few copies if you want one.

QUESTIONS FOR GM – 9.25.08 – CAMARO REVEAL


1. Will all models or some models have the black headliner like the cars at Indy?

2. Rumors that it has been listed that the GMPP crate engines will be an option…
What does this actually mean?

3. Will white be available in the showrooms in July 2009 or will it just be ready to order in July of 09?

4. What are the engine cover colors, the stripe colors, and are all the performance accessories (intake headers etc) also available on the V-6.

5. Are all stripes Vinyl or are any painted.

6. What are the differences on the gauge colors and fonts? Which ones will be kept

7. Will the Driver information center be standard?

8. Package information and what will come in the packages?

9. LT1 vs. LT2 ??? Any differences that you can tell us?

10. Brembo Colors on SS?

You can order just an engine from GM to be dropped in to a vehicle. Depending on what you want, you can get upgrades, etc or just a stock motor to replace something worn out. It's called a "crate engine" because they ship in a wooden crate.

GM crate motor options will not be available until at least Oct 13th or afer SEMA depending on when GMPP finalizes which motors will be certified for the platform.

This is for production in July, deliveries shortly afterwards.


The reason for this is that it takes more effort to line up and ensure perfect gaps on a white car vs a dark colored car. To make sure that this process is 100% and also make sure that all colors are delivered in a timely manner, white is the last color to be introduced.

Seriously, pricing is delicate issue right now because of the market. They are hoping to have pricing available on or shortly after Oct 13th. But this in no way should stop you from ordering a car as consessions will be allowed if the car you ordered turns out to be more than you can afford.
