It'll all be worth it in the end man. I picked up a 2nd job to fund my downpayment as well. Though my days aren't as long as yours (11/day 5 days a week), it does get old, but the payoff is worth the sacrifice!

45-55 hours at the USPS 15-20 on the side gig and full time online student.

You have to do what you have to do for what you want in life. You can't quantify it.

Great luck and ALWAYS keep the overall goal in mind.

As a student assistant I'm only required to work ~20 hours a week for my IT job, however I have been using the Camaro as motivation for getting at work by 8 everyday to not only help pay for it, but to get me ready for me soon to be everyday 8-5 job out of college. Also I cannot legally work 40 hours a week, however I have been putting in more than that so that it can carry over and I can apply them to weeks I don't work 40 full hours!

Oh yeah, and I've also since sold my dirtbike and work special events for the campus during basketball games.

I got a second job at a grocery store deli a couple of night a week for the months leading up to my Camaro delivery...I worked there probably 5 months and was able to put an extra $3,000 down payment on the car.

It sucked those days that I had to work both jobs but in the end my payment was lower and I have a big ol' grin on my face every time I get behind the wheel!

Good luck!

I did that kind of a schedule for a month and the only hard part was remembering which job I was driving to. I was so tired, I drove to the wrong place a few times...

Yeah a bigger downpayment is so important. it helps cut a big chunk out of the interest and in the folowing years when you have those small payments only, there will be no regrets at all about having suffered for a few months or so. then if extra things come up like repairs and whatnot the car payments wont be such a burden in the way. it will just be a background payment. man i cant wait lol

Lol. but what good is a new car that sits around. thats like buying a brand new big screen hd tv and hardly watching it so it will be like new for many years. eventually it will be old anyway and you never did get your moneys worth of enjoyment out of it.

wow, the Camaro is way cool and all, but giving up your life for one seems a bit overboard!

I guess we all choose our priorities . . .

But its only hot if you drive it. otherwise a person may as well just own a wax replica of a camaro of they buy it just to look at
