Hey all. Thought I finally join up and say hello.

I gave my self a early xmas present. I brought a 2010 Camaro 2ss, she is a beautiful black with the inferno interior. It was a huge upgrade from my other ride, which is a Kia Spectra. I deceded to keep it around for winter purposes.

I am just really getting into learning about cars. (Was not much into them at first if you could not tell by the Kia.) I am really looking forward to doing some mods to new addition to my family. Can't wait for this weather to clear and a good rain to clean the roads up to happen. Aching to drive her around, still only have 130ish miles on her.

One thing I was wanting to do but not sure if it is a good idea. I was looking to lower the car down. But do to all the potholes in the omaha, bellevue area I am not sure if it is a good idea. Also there is a speed bump to get in and out of my work place, little bit larger then the average ones. What do you guys think? Wise idea or leave it at stock hieght?

Welcome maspian! Glad you joined us. I know what you mean about the potholes, there are a couple in Lincoln that are so big they have their own gift shops at the bottom!

Just out of curiosity how many of you are driving your Camaro's in this slightly warmer weather?

I have been tempted to pull mine out of storage once my friend returns from a business trip. But, some of the roads around here still have slush and most of the interstates look like they are heavily salted still. Don't even think there are car washed open so I could wash it before I put it way so I was thinking of waiting.

Several of us drive ours this winter. Mine is my DD, locomaro drives hers, and I saw a black one at 56th and Hwy#2, and a CGM at 70th and Old Cheny today. Belong to any of us? I have new snow tires all around and wash it as often as I can. She also had about 18 coats of wax and poly protectants before it started to snow! I have had no problems in all the ice and snow, she is a tough girl! And for Christmas I got about every product Zaino makes, so she will be back in show shape before ys know it.

But I woke it up long enough to put on my new MPD rear spoiler. What do you think?

I think your new spoiler is sweet! A little higher than stock, but not so much as to be out of line with the body. Nice!

Yes, I am going to get gloss black rally stripes painted on as soon as the roads get dried up. Could be spring the way this winter has gone! I had MPD paint the spoiler, they did a great job. The paint is better than the factory!

Hey Packers! I've been amazed at how well this car has handled thru all the ice, snow and slush this winter! I gave her a really good bath this weekend including the undercarriage, etc. & she was sparkling!! (Of course, that only lasted until I drove to work this morning!) I am anxious to try a new indoor car wash product I got from Griot's--ever heard of them?? They make very high quality car washes/waxes, right on par with Zaino. Anyway, this stuff is great for getting rid of 'road crud' between regular washes. You just spray it on, gently wipe it off with microfiber cloths, then buff it out. You can clean the entire car with it, including windows. It's nice because there is no water needed & you can do it in the warmth and convenience of your own garage!!

No, had not heard of the Griot's. Where do you get that? Hope you had a great Christmas. My floor mats look like a mud puddle, makes me sick! But the hubby got me some new black ones with "RS" on them that will not be installed until summer! BTW, your doggie!

I actually purchased the item from ShopNBC. Griot's has their own website too, but ShopNBC is cheaper, so I ordered thru them. Below is a link to the item & you can even watch a video that provides a demo. (You might have to copy/paste the link into your browser)

Re: the car mats, I know what you mean! I am planning to do the same as you ... I'll keep the ones I have as my 'winter' mats, then get some really nice ones for the spring/summer. Where did you get your mats, if you don't mind me asking?

P.S. Loco said to tell you "thanks for the love'. He's a "mama's boy" to be sure!!

The mats are from Lloyd's Mats and I think he ordered them through the Chevymall.com, but I think they have their own site too. Thanks much for the tip on the cleaner!
