Do you let your significant other, drive your Camaro?

The questioned is posed because I find myself asking ... myself

Would I let my wife drive my Camaro? Luckily when I bought it, she said that she has no interest in driving it. I felt good about that, but then when she sat in the drivers seat to see how it felt. We soon realized why she would never be able to drive it. She's 4,10 and combined that with the bucket seats and high hood = me only

Now luck;y I don't have to make that decision my default, but I wonder who lets who drive and when and if you do, are you on pins and needles until it's parked.

I've let mine drive her once and both she and I were nervous. She was scared of the power and I was nervous she would have visibility problems and not be able to handle the car. She's used to little four bangers and that's what she feels comfortable in. After that she hasn't asked and I haven't offered but I would if she were to ask. Don't want to be accused of being selfish. LOL!

I'm 5'0" and have no problems driving the car. Did yours come with the full powered driver's seat? If it did, she should have no problem being able to adjust it to see over the hood.

Would I let my boyfriend of 15 years drive it? Only under duress and yes, I'd be on pins and needles until it was parked. He drives my Vette and Z28 on occasion and that makes me nervous even though they're automatics.

She's 2 inches shorter and when she sat in it, she adjusted the seat and said that she can't see over the hood and would wreck it if she drove it. I was like ... awww darn She is 100% okay with it ... and so am I

If my wife could drive stick, yes I would. It's just a car at the end of the day. It's not that important. I can get another car, but I can't find another lady like the one I have now.

Oh, Bummer! The car is such a dream to drive!

My boyfriend was in a really bad accident in his 20's so speed makes him nervous. He moved the car for me once and was so nervous he kept stalling it. I'm sure my screaming at him after the 2nd stall to get out of it didn't help. He never asked to drive it again but I feel bad. I told him I'd take him to an empty parking lot so he could practice. He drives a rig so it's not a clutch thing. I think he knows how much I love the car and he doesn't want anything to happen to it while he's behind the wheel.

No, unless my girlfriend wants to help make payments or wants to pay for any damage she does. She doesn't want to do either, so she has no business driving it.

Heck yes. She has to put up with me regardless. She knows how to drive a manual as well as anyone.

That's very sweet. It's nice to see that some guys on this site put their lady above their car. She's lucky!
