Let me know if you figure it out.
I'll let you know what I come up with

I hate that to be honest...happened to me too when I got the G8...we show up to my wife's family house and first thing I hear is..."I found a scratch"...

Buffed right out the next week.

This fender denting thing has been posted before.

Their theory, was the fender is improperly supported in that area, and the panel buckles slightly.

They are definately "denting" themselves. Post any long-term resolution.

I too had the same crease above the Camaro emblem on the passenger side (Aug 4th build date). Took it to the dealer and they had their PDR guy repair it free of charge.

The dent is caused by someone reaching across the car (most likely to wipe it down after being washed). Look and see if your knee is right where the dent is and that should tell you if it was caused by this.

So, there's a variable. Maybe it is human caused... Because you would think they would all do it, or none.

Mine looks like a basketball with the orange peel, "still fighting that battle" no unexplained dents or issues otherwise.

Interesting.
I think it is caused by the robot that installs the emblem. I think it is probably out of calibration or something applying too much pressure.
