If it was my kid and I trusted him then fine.

Someone else's kid? Keep dreaming and get the hell off my lawn.

I could handle something like this, but only if it was someone my kids knew, or my kids, other wise hell no

Depends on who. Yes I would let them. A close friend of my family let me take his Convertible Corvette to my formals/Dances/Prom even some nights to pick up dates. Had the best time of my life in that car and he only made it better. Because of him I want to be that “guy”.

I have a son who turns 16 this week and just passed drivers ed. Then I have Daughter who turned 15 in Nov. They both did kind of hint to me " Hey Mom would you ever let us drive your car to a big event like Prom or Homecoming etc?" My answer for now was No and Hell No.. I know that is mean but I didn't work my butt off to get this car for nothing.

I say to them maybe after they have had afew years driving experience I might think about when that time comes..

I tell everyone who asks to drive the car or who even thinks about it the same thing. "If you can put $40k cash in the drink holder you can drive it. No takers yet though.

Talked to my dad a few days after I ordered mine, and he said my sister had asked if he thought I would turn over the keys to my new car and say "See you tomorrow! Have fun!" for her senior prom. He told her absolutely not for me; his sister crashed his '69 Camaro. I'll prob meet her half way...and offer to drive them from where they eat to the school. No negotiation!
