btw great pics everybody
No, that is the DIC. The HUD will display things above the dash in your line of sight so that you can look at things without taking your eyes off the road (a display to keep your head up). Here it is in the Corvette

SS vs RS

I gotta say that the RS gauges look 10x better than the SS's. The red rings around the SS gauges look awful, not to mention how bad the red contrasts with the blue gauges and ambient ligting. Looks awful. Ill be hoping for some nice looking overlays!

hey guys I don't wanna burst your bubble but the red around those gauges in the SS are only RED or should I say ORANGE because those are the gauges with the Inferno Orange Interior!!! The non IO Interior gauges light blue like the V6!!

It seems very, very plausible.

Personally, I really dig the stock gauges and lighting.

I thought that has always been said. The IO interior gives you orange accent panels, orange ABL and orange gauge outline.

I knew about these two, but not the third. However, it doesn't surprise me.

I've never heard anything about different gauges, but I guess it would make sense...

It makes perfect sense to me though - the blue ring around the gauges would clash horribly with the orange ABL. This way it seems continuous.

Maybe somebody did. The new stadium has no orange and blue, mostly gray and green inside.
