I think you're going to have a problem finding a roof rack. I have that problem to (I do road cycling)
As far as I know, since the camaro doesnt have roof ditch brackets, most roof racks "Clamp" on the roof ditch modling area to the underside-top of the door where the flexible rubber is. The problem with the camaro is that the molding where the top of the window is not flexible, and you can't obstruct the area where the window indexes either.

I ride a 29'r Felt, it fits me well and I am upgrading to a Trek EX 5 in a few days for the full suspension, I am moving to Colorado so I want to get a better bike. Look into Gary Fisher, and Trek prolly some of the best bikes you can get, and there are a ton of other good brands.

A hitch is the way to go, IMHO. You can get a hitch shop to install one for you that is recessed so that it's far less visible. You can also opt for a 1-5/8" instead of a 2" to reduce the visibility.

I'm going to make and ass out of you and me by assuming that these bike racks are a few hundred dollars
For that price you can find a nice beater pickup/car to use for hauling your bike around to the trails. I'm also going to assume in CO to get to these trails you must drive on a gravel/dirt road... I bought me a beater pickup for the winter and to go get my kids with since their mother lives down a gravel road (which my Camaro will NEVER drive on)....only a suggestion but Craigs List has many cheapo vehicles for probably the same price as your bike rack.

Take the wheels off and pull down the back seat and put it into the trunk. A roof rack is heresy!

Your best bet (and what I'm gonna do) is to get a trailer hitch and go that route. As for all you saying don't do this to your car like hes painting the thing neon green and purple or something seriously you need to stick it up your ass. Its just a car, and As long as its installed a properly a bike rack will do no harm. Do you seriously hear yourselves, buying a beater CAR to haul around your bikes? And have you ever tried to put a bike in the back seat and not get chain grease all over the place, or scratch up your frame? I have a $3000 racing bicycle for triathlons, I am not taking the thing apart and stuffing it through that tiny trunk opening just so I don't have to put a rack on my car (PS it won't fit anyway that opening sucks). Man this place is so ignorant sometimes you'd think we were driving Ferraris.

Love this exchange, couldn't help offering my 2 cents worth....
Buy a car to haul your bike? I love it. In fact, there is a running joke here in Ft Collins, CO that what we have here are a bunch of $500 cars with $3000 bikes on the roof. You will fit right in if you go that route, come on over. Hidden hitch? Two thoughts: 1) I made a joke just the other day to my 13 year old because we were behind a car with a "Hidden Hitch" on it. We could tell because we could see the hitch, and the big label on it that said "Hidden Hitch." We enjoyed the irony. And 2) I put one on my wife's Civic to avoid the trunk or roof rack for her bike. Works great and I highly recommend it. If you want to good chuckle, pull up behind her car. A Civic Hybrid with a trailer hitch. Got to love it.
