The rock star status is unique to me too. After I cleaned her up the other day, I went out for errands, and I got more looks and compliments in that one day than the sum total of the ones I've gotten on the vette in almost 2 years.

I know about the rain too, a buddy of mine and I did the museum delivery for our vettes, and it was POURING! Got stuck in it for the first 2 hours westbound out of Bowling Green KY. It's still the only time the car's seen rain .

Yup the rain was a total bummer and she is now SUPER dirty! But I have so many people wave, and honk, and try to play with me! Its awesome! My bf's sister is thinking of doing the museum delivery for her grand sport corvette. they are waiting to see what the heritage package has first though.

I posted that when I got home from being out driving, it started raining so we decided to head back. This rain needs to end so she can get a bath and I can do some serious cruising.

Tell them to DO IT! it's a fantastic experience. If at all possible, tell them to do the buyers tour too, you get to see your car going down the line!

If I were doing it today, I'd get a GS too, but they didn't offer em in '08 :(.

I started talking to Eric last week and I have to say that is nice to see so many others that have had a good experience. Now my only real problem is trying to get rid of my Toyota.
