Engine Temperature Gauge - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've only had my Camaro about 1 month and bought it certified used. Everything is good on the car except I noticed that the engine temp gauge doesn't go to the middle temp but stays in between cold and middle. Is this a normal occurrance?

Keep in mind I used to drive a truck and once the engine was warm and running, the gauge would go to the middle.

NORMAL. If you want to check you can bring up the engine temp on the DIC ( this is the display that is between the speedo and tach) scroll through the display useing the controls on the turn signal stick.

normal, I also think that a lower temp is better which is why people are changing to 160 degree thermostats.
