I already have my Camaro, but I am just as excited to see what will be new with the 2011.

What bugs? My car is #32xxx and is perfect. And what is the deal with getting stuck from 1st to 2nd ... news to me. Are you talking on the A6 or the M6 SS skip shift??? Also, I wouldnt expect much different. After almost 100K cars for 2010, the bugs are out...

I think the OP is talking about the Skip Shift on the M6. Sorry...but that's not a problem....that's by design. Do a search on skip shift to find out more about it. If you're getting an LT it won't be an issue any way.

Mine was built on 10-2-09 and I have 2074 miles on her now with no problems to report. I have noticed that I can hear the exhaust more now then when I got her so that's cool. Oh and I have to be careful of Lead foot itis because for a V6 she can get up and go just fine. I would have been in deep ***T if I got a V8

I have no choice but to wait for a 2011. Unless I can get a car loan for 12 years with a low monthly payment. Haha

I decided back when the Camaro was unveiled that I wasn't going to get the first year production model. I don't know why, but I guess it was in case there any bugs. It has been a loooong wait, but hoping it will end soon when I order in the spring!I really don't think there will many changes---Hard to mess with perfection

The one bug I'm hoping they work out for 2011 is the 4 star crash rating. Sure it may have been a fluke, but I'd feel a lot better if it had a 5 star even if I'll never get in an accident. I know GM didn't 'expect' it to have a 4 star rating so I'm assuming it'd be a priority to get it fixed. They may have already fixed it anyway. But I figure they won't re-rate it until the 2011 model is out. But I'll probably be ordering before then anyway so it's not really a valid argument.
The other major bug I am hoping they rectify is the lack of another blue. I want a more 'interesting' blue than the current IBM.

Uh, I believe the Skip Shift is only on the LS3 equipped SS's. So it wouldn't be of concern on an LT.
Mine has been excellent. One minor issue was handled under warrantee by my excellent dealer service folks.

I was just checking with the front facia and grill group, and they told me that there will be no change to either of those parts for the 2011 model year. There is a new facia coming for the Z28 though. Not sure when that will be coming out.
The colors scheduled for 2011 are still lacking another blue to replace the ABM. The white and yellow colors will have a new name, but not sure if they will look different. |
