Tis a Very sad day for me... Had to Cancel my Reservation at the Host hotel, along with other reservations i had for the trip down.

I officially will not be attending C5Fest due to life getting in the way.
Take lots of pictures for me

Had a water pipe bust in the attic (have solar panels that pre-heat the water) and no one was home for hours. Came home to water all over the place. Insurance is only covering so much of the damage.

So to say the least, money availability for the trip is now dead.

Damn. Damn. Damn.

Sorry to hear it. Hope all turns out for you. Mold and mildew can be a bitch. And bad for you. I'm sure you have taken the necessary precautions but be careful.

We'll miss you at the fest. There will be plenty of pics though.

Best BBQ in the south?

Don’t mean to change gears on you guys here but… if I’m going to travel 20+ hours from Canada to the C-5 Fest in Georgia, I think I’m going to be on the look-out for some of that famous southern BBQ ya’ll bragging about. (ribs, pulled pork, beef brisket… smoked? … low and slow?). Good BBQ is hard to find up here in Canada.

Does anyone know of any good BBQ spots along the I-75 from Michigan to Georgia? Or do I have to detour over to Carolina to get some good BBQ on the way home? I like the western Carolina ketchup base sauce, as opposed to the vinegar base sauce of the east.

As it stands now… no one has come close to the “Dinosaur Bar B Que” in Upper New York State… but then… I’m from the Great White North!
