Recommended Skip Shift elimenator?
Can anyone recommend a decent yet relatively in-expensive Skip Shift elemenator?
$30 for an SLP seems a little high when the DYI articles are saying you can do it with just a little resistor. Not sure if I want to buy a pre-made one or go with the DYI article. Eventually I'll have it taken out when I tune the car but that might be a little bit.

You can get them on ebay cheaper. Here is an example.

Does anybody know if the T-56/Fourth Gen DIY will indeed work or not for the new Tranny?? Has anyone successfully tried it??
That info would be good to know. -Ivan |

I think I've bought about 10 little resistors from Radio Shack over the years. The same 2.2K ohm .5 watt resistor has worked perfectly in all my Vette C5's, 4th gen F-body's, GTO, C6... and on my way home from picking up my '10 Camaro from the dealer, first stop was Radio Shack for another .99 mod. At 15 miles on day 1 of ownership, my skip shift was history in my Camaro. Never even felt it activate once.
My brain won't let me spend $30 when .99 does the exact same thing. And .99 is even highway robbery. Radio Shack use to have 5 packs for .99, then the capitolist bastards packaged them individually - for the same price. They must have sensed skip shift market demand.

Just ordered mine. Can't beat 12 bucks for a premade sealed connector

I kinda like the looks of the one that was on ebay because it looks like it would seal up the orignal connections.

Do you have any pics of yours? How much do you sell them for?

Caverman, I don't have an actual pic on my home computer, but it is made from Delphi weatherpack connectors, using the rubber seals around the wiring as well as inside the plug that fits into the transmission when you disconnect the Camaro's harness. Off the top of my head, we retail those for $27 or $29 dollars, somewhere in that ball park.
A quick web search and I came up with this pic that shows the Delphi connectors. This one would also fit the Camaro. The difference being that one way is using two parts and you zip tie the harness, the other is "spliced" in line with the original harness. |

Using the adaptive performance skip shift eliminator. Cheap and it works.
