Deciding on First Modification

So i am deciding on what to do for my first mod, to get the best performance while still getting the best sound, but I am not looking a spending a fortune right away, but over time I will

CAI or corsa full exhaust, or jba shorty headers?

If you plan on going exhaust first (I would). Check out this thread http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33104

go exhaust. . . let the motor breath better. . .

If you go magna flow then go with the comp series... not that much difference in sound with the street series and stock.

EXHAUST....without a doubt ..

Whatever one you choose you will get :
#1..The sound YOU want.
#2..Lose those ugly Mufflers.
#3..Plus a performance gain.
#4..Larger exhaust Tips

if nothing else on the exhaust... the weight alone will help. the stock mufflers were 24lbs each when i weighed them.

less restriction, less weight, better sound, least impeding mod when it comes to the warranty work game (really wouldnt worry about this -- just get it installed correctly if you dont think you can do it yourself)

Ditto on Exhaust, then the CAI, then the headers.

Go with the rally stripes, at least you won’t get fooled into thinking your getting extra HP when you're really not

after the exhaust I recommend getting a Short through Shifter if you have a manual

If you have a manual, I would add a short throw shifter on first. I've done, CAI, exhaust and short throw, and to me the short throw has added the most fun.

I am in the same boat looking at exhausts, so far I am leaning towards the magnaflow catback, the only one for v6 is the street series, but from some of the videos I have seen of it, it sounds nice, especially the video fishtail posted....short shifter, meh personally to me I dont know if its worth the money, Id have to drive one with one first to see the difference I suppose, but the normal shifter on the manual is pretty nice imo
