I don't want to take too much of your time, but what do you think the story is here? My dealer says that he submitted the order before Christmas, and that it should be being built now. These people are not technology literate so they have no idea how to check order statuses. The bottom line here is that the dealer MUST HAVE ALLOCATION to place your order. Camaro, Equinox and ZR1 corvette all have to be placed by the dealer against allocation. If a dealer is given 5 Camaros in a month for allocation, they have to move your order into one of those 5 available. Either they have no allocation to place it, or they have a backlog of orders. At this point, its probably the former, not the later. You need to have a heart to heart with the dealer to see what's going on. Good luck and if you have any more questions, don't hesitate to ask. There are lots of knowledgable people here.

Where in Texas are you? Just curious what dealer you went through - I had some bad experiences when I started looking - but ended up with Huffines in Plano - and they have been great - ordered on 1/4 - and my car is being built this week. You may want to find someone else - sounds like they don't know what they are doing.

Since I'm kinda new at this (and I don't want to continuously bug you or sound like a 10-yo in the back seat saying "are we there yet?"), how much time typically passes from 2000 to 3000 and all those little points in between to getting a VIN? I'm at 2000 as of 2/6/10 (NTDZTF) Thanks!

Hi Becky, This is supposed to be my week. I am so excited... I am trying so hard to be patient. Any updates on NRFMB4?

I also ordered in Nov or so I thought and my dealer doesn't seem to be very computer literate. I have had to push them for everything. I just keep telling myself the end of the story includes my Camaro :-)

It's not a bother, I can appreciate the excitement - I went through it myself. The order is still at 2000 and usually about a week to 10 days you see movement to a 3000 or 3300 status. At that point you get a target production week and at 3400 status, your order is "on the plant floor". So don't hesitate to check back from time to time. It's no bother.
