Anyone with a Nexus One...
According to some reports, the Nexus One phone does not have wireless bluetooth dialing. Has anyone paired this phone with the car and can you call out with it via bluetooth?

I use a nexus one with the car. I stored some numbers in the cars phone book to make it easier and it works fine. I haven't consistently gotten the a2db music playback to work, but I haven't been aggressive about figuring it out since what I really want is to drive her and I already have an ipod.

I tried music playback twice today with the nexus one. It worked fine. I recently did the camaro pdim software update to fix iPod issues. I suspect that cleared up the oddities I was experiencing with Bluetooth music playback before. I haven't found a button on the radio to tell the Bluetooth device to start playing music so I just start it playing via my phone.

So it turns out that hitting the seek button on the radio starts the nexus one playing. Now I don't have to touch the phone at all. Thanks for triggering me to figure it out.

Did the Nexus one play music at all before the PDIM update? I have an appointment to get my Camaro PDIM firmware update done on monday, but I have not been able to get my Nexus One to play music over the stereo either through Bluetooth or USB.
Thanks, Daniel |

I have both a Nexus One and a Droid. I don't have service on the Nexus One but the Motorola Droid pairs up and calls out just fine.

I am still playing with the placement of the car dock. So far I like it to the left of the rear view mirror. I plan on trying to find a way to hard wire it up there but that is going to take some research.
My nexus one would not do AD2P at all until I got the car firmware updated. FYI you have to pair it with both Bluetooth modules in the car. The media one won't show until after the firmware update. Once paired pressing forward or backwards on the deck will get the phone playing. |
