I had it in my 93 Grand Prix and loved it. Aas was already mentioned.......... it allows you to keep your eyes on the road and not constantly looking up/down, /up/down at your gauges and meters. I wish it was available right from the get-go.

The Camaro looks like it's going to beat you unconscious, put you in a silly hat, invite a couple of other Camaros over to take photos of you, then e-mail them to all your friends and co-workers. Call me crazy, but I like that in a car."

HUD is a sweet feature but it does nothing to performance and most luxury cars don't have it only a select few cars do so it shouldn't be a big deal.

My camaro will definitely have a hud in it, just another neat thing that GM threw in there to make me happy. I have never had a problem with too many options.

I have a theory.

HUD is trickle down tech from the Corvette. They're probably redesigning it for the C7 right now and it won't be ready until then. It's been 4 model years since the C6 released. By then it'll have been 6 (3rd quarter 2010 should be MY 2011 for the Corvettes) and they'll most likely be almost done with the C7.

Just a thought.

Because if they're doing what I guessed they're doing, the current HUD will be replaced mid-production with the unit designed for the C7 and it would be very cost inefficient to have to redesign for the new HUD after only 1 model year or to manufacture the old unit alongside the new unit just for the Camaro.

If HUD isn't going to be installed until Dec '09 in Camaros then why is it already in a prototype Camaro SS?

appearently ome people dont know how the system works because that picture taken from that angle would be skewed because of the angle of the viewer off of center.

That is NOT a real car.
