That would be very cool!!

Thumbs up Good Day for The Break System...

Well it was a good day for our break system.
- Received the RJT painted and stenciled calipers back
- Received notification the dimpled and slotted rotors are in route via UPS
- Found and received notification the SS Break Lines (Goodridge G-Stops) are in route via Fedex
* Just waiting on Ethan to PM me back with payment info for the Hawk Ceramics.

Next weekend looks like it could be reassembly time... Out of town on Monday - return Thursday eve.

Lots still on order and due in in the next week.

Brakes

Can't wait to see your new Red Jewel Tintcoat brakes RD JEWL.

Please post lots of brake pictures when done. Any other mods as well.

I'm not the biggest fan of red brakes, but they definitely will look good on red cars or red striped/accented ones. Black cars as well. I actually like the black brakes on the silver cars. Definitely like idea of reducing brake dust with the new pads. Cleaning the wheels every time you take the car out is a P.I.T.A. (and back).

OK, here are the first pictures unwrapped and not even cleaned up yet. There is some adhesive I need to use some GooGone on or something that won't mess the paint up. These are in my office on my Loydes Trunk Mat (waiting to take the cover off the car to place all the mats), and it isn't even sunny. They should look great in the sun.

I will post more as I put the mods on...

I have not had any real problems with AAC Style. They did fix the 2 small issues with the bulbs in the second lot, i.e., the pins were nice and straight and the tab clicked right in.

I think the most important thing is that they look GREAT! The light is so much whiter than the OEM bulbs. It just looks so clean and matches the light from the headlights.

I'm debating on buying one of their illuminated bow ties, but those are even pricier.
I apologize for lowering you to the standard of us Men !!! And I mean that sincerely since my mother raised me right.

Unfortunately depending on who is typing (mostly me) 1 RD JEWL could be a man or woman... I guess our account has gender identity issues.

I do agree with you that they do look GREAT and I am sure once I have them in person and installed I will think all was worth the wait. I am even looking at a future mod for the markers from AAC. We will see...

I would never be able to do this mod myself. I wonder if I could get the dealer to put them on?

I think those would look really good on my CGM. They're going to look AMAZING on your red Camaro. Please post more pictures as you get your braks put back together. Thanks for sharing these.
Thank you!

I tried the dealer, but since they went to non-catalyst paints, they don't do it anymore since it takes a different kind of spray gun. I sent them in for $325. When you have the $ and are willing to be without your C5 for just under two weeks let me know and I will come and take them off and help you package them up and send them off. (and of course put them back on when they come in)

I have exhausted the "allowance" I was given for mods... now I am doing a lot of begging (the misses ), and saving $ from the extra I make of my trips for work (per dium). I call it my C5F (Charlie 5 Foxtrot) ...
Not Camaro5 Fest, but my "C5 Fund $.

JR Already heard that joke, but I figured it was good enough for all of you to hear.

Just say the word when you are ready. We can have one of those garage parties that JR talked about in earlier threads.

I would guess less than or just over an hour. I am in Vandalia where 70 & 75 intersect.

That is nothing for a drive.

Anything for a "fellowette" C5 club member.

I purchased Gorilla Automotive 71643N "The System" Acorn Wheel Locks (14mm x 1.50" Thread Size) - For 5 Lug Wheels. I haven't put them on yet because of the weather. Check them out at the link below.
