Really, the only thing the RS package added to the 2SS was the halo headlamps. And while I really like the looks of the halos, I don't like them $1200 worth!

I actually like the black moldings on the roof line. Contrats the bright yellow well and goes nicely with the black stripes.

2 reasons for me:
1) Difficult justifying 1200 dollars for what the package offered.
2) Plenty of 2SS/RSS's and being someone who likes to do things a little different, the SS only appealed to me. Once it arrived I loved the headlight appearance even more.

My reason exactly.

Didn't see the value in it, and headlights don't make you go faster, stop shorter, or turn better. That is what I was most interested in and will spend the $1200 on something that will accomplish one of those goals.

Basically paying $1,200 for HID's. (The other things you get with the rs, on a ss anyway, cost like 50 bucks)

And the fog light/drl thing doesn't make sense to me.

Mine will be a weekend/toy car so why spend the money on it. Would rather sink that $1,200 into a few mods.

I agree with the others - the only thing I liked from the RS package was the halos. I got a 2SS and that had all the extras I wanted or needed.

Very well said

At the time of ordering the dealer really tried to sell me on the RS, but I had my mind made up. No. Not enough for the money. The body color ditch mouldings shoulda been standard anyway. Now I'm driving an ABM 1SS RS-less. Pretty rare.

I think the non-halo lights look cleaner than the halos, plus I love the ABM with white SS on the decklid. What the car really needs for a clean look, IMO, is the non-halos, the heritage grille without any emblems, and remove the camaro signs from the fenders. Mine is almost done, just need the grille.

$1200 basically for headlights.... that I don't even like that much. I like the standard headlight look better. Plus I got polished wheels, so the midnight silvers go to waste.

I even don't like the red SS logo too!

Personally I wouldn't take the RS package if it was available for free.

Standard headlights with fog lights - Classic
Halo Lights - Gimicky and European looking [Yea also Much Brighter]

Silver Wheels - Classic [especially with a dark colored car]
Grey Wheels - Less Classic & Less Attractive to me

White SS Emblems - Classic
Red SS Emblems - I've Never Seen a Series 1 Camaro with FACTORY red SS letters

I prefer brighter tail lights to darker ones, more vissible, less likely to get hit. Why combine brighter halo lights with darker tail lights?

I would pay for the body colored roof mouldings if available seperately. I ordered IBM which is very close to black and makes this a minor point.

I known that mine is the minority oppinion on this forum
