If you look closely at the front wheels, they look like the "tuning fork" design that was reported to be on the Z/28 models. Check the image in this thread and compare: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18344

I just can't see that that thing being a Z28--It's got a beak! In all likelihood it's probably an aftermarket T/A body kit...but I would lose it if they brought back the Firebird. That would be Christmas morning.

I'm a Firebird guy in a Camaro's world.

I think it was Blur that said the side gills were missing, I see that too, but to me it looks like that body panel is a different shade of black

I noticed that too, that's why I'm thinking Firebird rather than Z.

It could also be that black cars never did show the gills too well... and the car is kind of dirty i guess? idk

All in all we won't know until someone spots this mule somewhere else, and gets better pics

I blew it up, sharpened it, and tweaked the brightness/contrast. Still no gills. Methinks Trans Am?

Of course, just IMHO. No way in hell will GM endure the firestorm of releasing a Firebird edition now.

That hood bulge is not at all like the CTS-V or ZR1, its isnt even part of the hood. It is an intake cover and is free to move with the engine causing it to shake side to side, thus the name "Shaker".

*The ZR1 hood is similar but not as predominate as this one and no Z has had a shaker from factory only trans am cars did

Yes you want to camo a car but you also want to be able to test the car as it has been designed, which clearly cannot be done with this car.

Now like I said before, if this turns out to be a extreme camo job by gm to hide the Z then we still have leaned nothing new about the Z.
