Ok I'm new to the site and maybe I just missed something so forgive me but I have to ask this.

I was planning on getting an Imperial Blue SS/RS and according to that "official" pre-order workbook, neither one of the blues will be available on the SS!

So ummmm....is the workbook wrong? And if it's not.....WHY CANT WE GET BLUE?! That's practically an original sports car color!

Yeah me too. I wanna be able to enjoy my Camaro. I know I could just get an LT and be done with it but paying over $25,000 for something I don't really enjoy doesn't sound like much fun. I wouldnt mind black but that's too generic. Yellow draws too much attention just like Victory Red. Guess it's Red Jewel Tint Coat for me

Apparently, there may be a couple of mistakes in the book. We will learn more on Friday.

IDK, I was so looking forward to my Blue SS.... I already switched from rag top to coupe thanks to the 2 year wait, now this

I want an imp blue SS too. Hopefully it is offered on the SS and is just an oopsie, it has been one of the more popular colours. in any event I'm not going to be getting one at release, and by the time I'm ordering one the colours might all change.

so IMO i believe the leaked info is not entirely accurate. just wait till you hear from Scott before you start believing the world is coming to an end.

Obviously we don't know for sure because this is not officially released yet, but if it turns out to be true, I think it will be for production reasons. When dodge released the challenger, they did it in 3 colors first to build as many as possible with as few changes during the assembly process as they could get away with (they were missing some stuff many would consider necessary, and more important than color-like manual trans and limited slip so it could be worse).

I think with the ss being 20-30% of production, they want to limit the colors somewhat to have a few less variations of the already lower volume car. I believe they want(or maybe need) to get the v6 out there with all the options to get the model moving and they will likely add in the rest of the colors to the SS within a few months. Just look at the initial ordering suggestions, one color for each trim level, I think they want to make production as efficient as possible to get a lot of these out there relatively quick. Just my thoughts...

By the way I want a aqua blue one too (or jetstream blue) so I hope the wait is'nt too long because I am not likely to buy a different color.
