From where you are, the move to 2000 status would be immediate. Past that, GM scheduling has control and those could change anytime.

Status: (3000) Order accepted by production control

February 16, 2010 - Current
February 10, 2010 - (3400) Order broadcast
February 3, 2010 - (3000) Order accepted by production control

How did I hit 3400 on 2/10 and then go back to 3000. If it was already accepted by production control on 2/3 why would it need to be accepted again. This sucks!

What dealership did you order from? They have the ability to time travel to the future and order cars, awesome!

Hehe, just kidding. I'm sure that's a typo

Becky, I can see that you are inundated with requests. When I logged into the Camaro tracking website, it was unable to provide me with a status, but it did provide me with a window sticker. My dealer sent me an email today that stated "it has been built and is ready to ship... hope to see it late next week." I see that others have been able to track their car through the various production codes. My order number is: NTDRK8 and VIN is: 2G1FB1EV7A9193634. The sheet he sent me showed the code as: 3800 - Produced. Can you check on the status for me? As a note, I'm amazed at how fast this process has been. I placed the order with him on Sat, Jan 23rd. He mentioned that because he has one of the largest allocations in the mid-south, he was able to swap out one of his pending allocations with mine. That must be why it only took 5 weeks from order to delivery... it if really gets to the dealership next week. Anyway, thanks for your support to others and your help and look forward to your reply.

It has just been acting funky.
Hey guys since I am not banned here as of today I can actually answer your questions. The deal with the 3400 status and vins issued was due to an error in the import. If you look back at the email you will see the date was 2002 not 2010 This caused the status to show current at 3400 not the 3800 it should have been but the vin identification was correct. This all happened on Friday's update. On Sunday when I was putting the report together for submission I found the error and made the changes to correct the info.

Now regarding the double entries on the 11th for you.

As I responded previously, There are two entirely seperate databases used to track your car. The first is for pre production and it is found and used in dealerships. It is called Global Connect. As your car is going thru pre production tracking all your data is based on that database. Once a VIn is issued your data then comes from GM Corporate from a Database called VTIM. The VTIM data is a day or so ahead of the Global Connect system thus I have to back date the preproduction reports once the Vin is issued otherwise when you get your first update from the VTIM system you would never know it because your date that your vin was issued on global connect would be the last known status date but not the most accurate or current.

Bottom line is at this point we are not screwed up and the data is as accurate as possible and the same data that could be derived via your dealer calling the Dealer Business Center. Obviously, we encourage you to work closely with your dealer and our information should not replace your contact with them. It is intended to support you and them in folloowing along your order and status in a practical and easy way.

Hope this helps to clarify what your info is saying.

Larry

When you enter your information on the other site you will not show a status until the following weekday morning!
Post Production Tracking.....Track by your VIN number.

Post Production tracking is checked daily each weekday during normal US GM operations.
The current status date is the date of the last change in status and not the date of the last check.

Here is the process that a Post Production car will go thru and what to expect to see.

1. Is at Oshawa, and available to ship, it is marked "Available to Ship from Osh" If your car is getting factory stripes it will stay at this status until it actually ships The Shipped By which can be listed as Truck or Railroad means absolutely nothing at this point and is not accurate nor indicative of actual shipping.
2. Is in transit from Oshawa, it is marked "In Transit from Osh". This means your car has actually been turned over to the transportation company. A bill of laiding has been issued and the invoice has been produced. The Shipped By now is accurate and tells us how it is moving by Truck or Railroad. If by railroad a railcar number will be listed. For further railcar tracking please visit the Tracking Assistance thread or follow the instructions listed later in this post. For Truck tracking information you must visit the Tracking Assistance thread and ask a moderator for help, provide your full vin and they can offer some assistance.
3. Has arrived in the yard, but not yet dispatched, it is marked "Available to ship from Yard". This means your Railcar or Truck has reached its regional distribution point. It has been unloaded and is parked waiting for being dispatched and loaded and released for transport to the dealer. The Shipped By now will probably say it is now by Truck but it has not been loaded nor is it moving when listed as Available to ship from yard.
4. Is in transit from the rail yard, it is now marked "In Transit from Yard". This means your car has been dispatched for shipping. It does not mean that the truck is actually moving but once dispatched the truck is posted for a driver to load and released to transport to the dealership. A truck can carry up to 12 cars at a time and it may have 11 stops before it reaches your dealer so please dont get over excited. However, this is a very good sign that your car could be dropped off at your dealer within 72 hours. Get ready for that special call.
5. "Delivered". This means what it says. Your car has been delivered to your dealership and is no longer in the control of the shipping companies. If you have not heard from your dealer it is time to contact them.
6. "On Hold". This means your car has been randomly pulled for Quality Control. Typical hold times are 3 to 5 days while the car is checked for all quality standards and parts quality. In the event that an issue is found it is possible that the car will need to be repaired to meet the highest standards of GM. Parts will need to be ordered and as soon as they arrive it will be fixed and sent on its way

Thanks Larry. Saw the bold and thought you were shouting at me. LOL! Understand that I am a newbie. So when I get my first email from Camarotracking.com, it will list the status by the numbers 1-6 as you have stated? Thanks again.

Today is 3100 TPW 3/1/10 as of 2/16/10 Orders can move backward on occassion for re-scheduling, parts shortage, holds, constraints etc.
