Welcome fellow South Texan (I'm from Refugio). You're better off posting something like this in the Texas specific forum. Good luck, I don't know of any speed shops down there anymore, maybe someone will take you up.

I'll bet 95% of the members of this forum would mis-pronounce Refugio....but the shoe goes right on the other foot for most of their cities. I was in western Wash and they laughed at me as I tried to pronounce those names...

I see you moved your thread from the exhaust and bolt on's section to this thread HAHA! anyhow...
SS Michael I am from corpus christi but stationed in Mississippi at the moment and let me tell you that the BEST way to get sponsored in Corpitos is to be a part of a large car club that is already backed by local sponsors and utilize the club discounts and hook-ups Aside from that you can do what I did here for sponsors and go business to business asking to speak to owners and managers and telling them what your there for and handing them a "Sponsorship letter" to read over that outlines who you are, what your plans are for your car and what events you have attended and will be attending. I have two sponsors right now and after this saturdays car show I might have 2 more depending on how I place. It is best to attend a few shows first and try to win some trophies then turn around and show the local guys what you have done on your own! Good Luck
